I feltIhave made a large amountof progressionsince whenIfirstdidmymagazine tonow.I feltthat
my Photoshopskillshave improvedalarge amountandI feel confidentwhenusingprogrammes
similartothisnow.I feel confidentinusingthe different toolstocreate differenteffectsandto
make differentstylesformymagazine.Ifeel Ihave improvedmyknowledge onmise enscene and
howimportantthisisin orderto produce a magazine asI realise now thatthere hasto be a co-
ordinationwiththe clothingandthatcertainbackgroundscanhave differenteffectsonthe reader
and howthat theyrelate tothe magazine.Ifeltthat mycamera workhas improvedasI know of a lot
of shotsthat I can use to take for mymagazine andthat the shotsof the artist can have a impact on

Preliminaryphotography-
Thisphotowas takenduringthe preliminarytaskandduringthistaskI didnot have a great
knowledge of photographyandPhotoshopandsothiswasa big learningcurve forme and ittook me
a while togetusedto usingthese technologies.WhenItookmyfirstshotsI didnot hire out the
studioandso thismeantlotsof people were tryingtouse it as well andso
thisresultedinme rushingmyshotsthat I tookwhichmeantthat the quality
of myshotswere to a lowstandard. I also didnotknow a lotaboutcamera
workand the differentwaysthatIcoulduse a camerain orderfor me to
have shotssuitsspecificpositionsonmymagazine suchasclose up shots
and longshots.I alsodidnot realise the affectthatlightinghadonthe
productand so I didnot use the lightinginthisversionwhichresultedinthe
image appearingdark.AsI was knewtothisI didnot considerthe mise en
scene of my model andwe see that inthisphotohe iswearing1 itemof clothingwhichisa top and
thismade the image lookblandsoI learntthat differenttypesof mise enscene canhelpportraya
betterimage formy magazine.
Final photography-
As we see Idecidedtouse twomodelsforthisshootand the reasonthat I
didthiswas because Iwantedtobe able to representbothgenderswithin
my social group and so I wantedtobe able to appeal tomore people and
have a largeraudience. Ihiredoutthe studioformyself andmymodelsso
that I couldtake my time when takingmyphotossoI couldhave a lotmore
of a varietyof shotsto use for mymagazine andI wantedto have shotsthat
wouldlookbetteronthe page. I changedthe the mise enscene of my male
model aswe can see he iswearinga smartshirt andso thismeanshe will
looksmarter.Thisshowsevidence thatIhave progressedwithmy
knowledge andplanningformymagazine asI have made itlookbetterby
changingthe photographyinthe shootso it looksbetteronthe page. I have
alsoimprovedmyknowledge of the lightingasmypreliminaryphotohada
reallydarkbackgroundand itlookedreallydull onmypage andso I made
sure that my image formy final productlookedappealingand notfull.

Thisis myfront coverof mypreliminarytaskandwe see thatit looks
reallyquite scruffyandsoI wantedtochange thisso I lookedatwhat
magazineswhere availableonthe currentmarketplace andI
improvedmyknowledge of howtopresentthe magazine. We see
that thisfrontcover looksveryimmature andthisisbecause Imade
it at the start whenmyknowledge wasnotgreat. We see that the
colourpalette isveryplainandboringat that the croppingof the
photois pooras you can see the edgesof hisheadwhichlooks asif it
has beencroppedwhichprovidesthe magazine withapoor
representationtothe public.We see thatthe sub headingsare used
witha poor font and itis hard to readso I will needtoadaptthisfor
my final piece of work.

As we can see I made several changesto myfinal piece of workas
we see I have useda bolderandbiggerfontformy mastheadso
that itstands outto the public.Ihave alsochangedthe fontaround
my models inthe subheadingsasIthoughtthat I lookedneaterand
more presentable. Ichangedthe stance of my modelssothat it
matchesthe layoutof my frontcover whichshowsIhave improved
my knowledgeof whatiscurrentlyonthe market. We see I have
changedthe borderfor mymagazine as itis a darkercolour which
makeseverythingelse standoutonthe page.I changedmy colour
palletsonthispage and made ita lotbrightersoit lookedmore
