CaaS + CI/CD ‘vs’ PaaS - Different Use Cases CI/CD + CaaS systems are good for: Specialized applications with specific build requirements Extremely large or complex projects Legacy applications with a slow rate of change Teams with embedded Ops expertise PaaS systems are good for: Standard web/API applications using common web frameworks Microservices and smaller, one-off projects Applications which change constantly Teams relying on centralized Ops or global policies …but they are not mutually exclusive, and the line is blurring
