The vast majority of modern source components –
like Blu-Ray Disc and DVD players, for example –
use HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface)
connections to provide both high quality audio
and high-definition video. Unfortunately, the
close proximity of these sensitive signals to each
other can compromise the performance of both.
The answer is Meridian’s HD621 HDMI Processor.
The HD621 lets you select from up to six sources,
and separates audio from video, sending the
images straight to your display, keeping it away
from your audio gear, while extracting up to eight
channels of the very best sound quality to feed to
a Meridian processor like the G65 or 861. A single
cable connects the HD621 to a Meridian processor
and it can be rack mounted or stand-alone for
maximum flexibility. HD621 integrates fully with a
Meridian processor for centralised control.

home with the first digital surround controller over 20
years ago. It set the standard – something Meridian
continues to do today. In conjunction with the HD621,
Meridian’s G65 allows connection of a diverse range of
sources with unified control over time alignment, bass
management and surround sound processing.
G65 builds on the achievements of Meridian’s flagship
800 Series to deliver superlative sound from any
source.
Eight balanced analogue outputs make G65 perfect
for systems from stereo to full surround; SpeakerLink
digital outputs are also included, for a perfect future
upgrade path to Meridian DSP Loudspeakers (just
replace amp and passive speakers).
G65 features a card-based architecture to reduce
system noise and improve performance, in a stylish
bead-blasted cabinet design in traditional black or
sleek silver finish. G65 is easy to use, either by remote
or using the software-defined keys and display.
THE POWER YOUR

Meridian’s G55 and G57 power amplifiers feature
5 x 100W and 2 x 200W outputs respectively,
and are the ideal power amplifiers to drive your
existing passive loudspeakers from your new G65.
Both amplifiers are based on those used in
Meridian’s flagship DSP8000 active loudspeakers,
with a capacitor-free audio path for fast, accurate
bass and excellent transient handling. Both
feature bridge mode capability for large power
requirements and feature remote trigger operation
so they can be switched on and off with the rest of
the system.

The system pictured includes an 818 Reference Audio Core, Meridian Sooloos
Control 15 streaming system and a pair of Meridian Special Edition DSP Loudspeakers.

A TALE OF TWO MUSIC-LOVERS

Meridian founders Bob Stuart and Allen Boothroyd met in Cambridge in the early 1970s,
and it was through a shared love of music that they became friends. But it was their
desire to better hear the music they loved that inspired them to design and manufacture
