1. BONNIE SCHILLING TIMELINE
THURSDAY, MARCH 27 – Schilling is told
she is being placed on administrative
leave and must leave the John Jay
campus. HVSR reports the news
exclusively on April 2, confirmed by
Wappingers Central School District
athletic director Kurt Jesman. Schilling’s
job as softball coach is internally posted.
2. BONNIE SCHILLING TIMELINE
THURSDAY, APRIL 3 – John Jay softball
beats Arlington, 11-2, in the team’s
season-opening game. Volunteer parent
assistant Ken Schaeffer coaches the
team.
3. BONNIE SCHILLING TIMELINE
MONDAY, APRIL 7 – Schilling meets with
district officials during the day to discuss
the suspension. WCSD has its first board
meeting that night and then-board
president Ved Shravah tells HVSR that
it’s a “personnel matter that will not be
discussed unless it is in Executive
Session.”

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9 – John Jay
elevates jayvee softball coach Mike
Crocco to the position of head varsity
coach. Schaeffer will remain as an
assistant.
5. BONNIE SCHILLING TIMELINE
THURSDAY, MAY 8 – HVSR reports exclusively that
WCSD alleges Schilling changed her own son’s
transcript, hence the reason for her forced leave of
absence. Schilling’s attorney, Michael Sussman,
told HVSR “Basically, they claim that in early
February of 2014 she went into the computer
system and changed her son’s transcript to
facilitate her son’s entry into a private prep
school.” Sussman also tells HVSR exclusively that
several people had access to Schilling’s computer
and could have changed the grades.
6. BONNIE SCHILLING TIMELINE
SATURDAY, MAY 31 – Seeded sixth, John Jay
completes an amazing run through the
postseason and wins the Section One, Class AA
championship with a victory over archrival
Ketcham in the championship game. Schilling is
there to watch the team take the title.
7. BONNIE SCHILLING TIMELINE
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18 – Sussman tells HVSR
that Schilling’s case will be heard by the New
York State Department of Education, but not
until September at the earliest – putting her
return to work as a school guidance counselor
in jeopardy. At this point, no criminal charges
have been filed.
8. BONNIE SCHILLING TIMELINE
THURSDAY, AUGUST 21 – Schilling voluntarily
turns herself in to the Town of East Fishkill
Police Dept. and is charged with tampering
with public records in the first degree, a Class D
felony in New York State. She is released on her
own recognizance.
