3. Violence against women is a common thing in
Bangladesh. and it's increasing day by day.
The women of our society are being subjected to various harassment.
They are being harassed constantly in the office, on the street, in the
vehicles, and at home, etc.

4. Types Of Violence against women:
Eve-Teasing Sexual Harassment Dowry Death
Acid attack
Rape

5. Eve-teasing .
 Suggestive song with close lips.
 Eve-teasing is a common evil practiced against women in public place.
it is a form of sexually aggression like:
 Slang comments
 Cheap gestures
 Display of an indecent video
 Passing by in slow moving car blasting loud
music with many eyes.
All these are Typical examples of Eve-teasing.

6. Sexual Harassment .
Sexual harassment is unwelcome sexual behavior that’s offensive, humiliating or
intimidating. It can be written, verbal or physical, and can happen in person or
online.
Sexual harassment can include someone:
 touching, grabbing or making other physical
contact with you without your consent
 making comments to you that have a sexual
meaning
 making sexual gestures or suggestive body
movements towards you

7. Dowry death .
In Bangladesh, dowry is called joutuk and a significant cause of deaths as well.
Between 0.6 and 2.8 brides per year per 100,000 women are reported to die
of dowry-related violence in recent years. The methods of death include suicides, fire
and other forms of domestic violence.
Forms of violence against women for dowry:
 Physical abuse
 Sexual abuse
 Verbal and emotional abuse
 Economic abuse

8. Acid attack .
In Bangladesh, throwing acid has been labeled as a "gender crime", as there is a
dominance of female victims who are assaulted by males, for the reason of refusing
marry, or refusing sexual advances from male perpetrators.
Why Acid attack are Used:
 Acid attack perpetrators do not usually intend to kill
their victim, but to cause long-lasting physical damage
and emotional trauma.
 Even if the perpetrators does not intend to cause
death, the injuries sustained by the victim may still
result in death.
Acid attack is most Horrendous crime.

9. Rape .
Rape is when sexual intercourse is non-consensual (not agreed upon), or a person
forces another person to have sex against his or her will.
Types of Violence:
 Attempted Rape
 Sexual intercourse that you say no to
 Raped and gang-raped
 Child Molestation

10. Rape, gang rape, child molestation are increasing at a huge rate in our
country. It's turning into a horrible disease. Some man like animals are killing
for proof lofts after rape. Even small children are not spared from these
rapists.
Where is the end of all this?
What we need to do to prevent this:
 Avoid unsafe situations and strangers. If you are
being followed, go to the nearest police or fire
department, or any place where several people
will be Walk in groups at night.
 You are responsible for your own safety. Call your
local police department or rape crisis center.

11. And Finally,
 The maximum punishment for the rapist should be
enacted to provide the death penalty.
 We must always be Considered in taking
appropriate measures for the safety of women.
So that, Eve-teasing, dowry, Sexual Harassment,
Acid attack, raped and Child molestation will go
away from this society forever.
