1. The collection that is a tribute to artisans, travelled to the country on June 7
As part of its homage to artisans, Chanel created the Métiers d’art collection.
And now, it travelled outside of France to Florence, Italy, for the presentation
of the 2021/22 collection against a backdrop created especially for the
occasion at the Stazione Leopolda, a former train station from the first half of
the 19th century.
The event, which was held on June 7, welcomed as many as 1,000 guests, who
were treated to a special runway show of the creations that the House’s
Artistic Director describes as metropolitan, yet sophisticated.
There was a long black ribbon to welcome the guests into the first room
where three animated films by the Remembers Studio were projected. This
then led to the spot where the show was held.

2. Here, the brand’s renowned Chanel Bedding Set flower, which is traditionally
made by the House of Lemarié, was presented in an oversized form, as a
reference to the dreamlike world of the animation.
Adding additional glamour to the event were Chanel ambassadors Penélope
Cruz, Caroline de Maigret and Angèle. Also in attendance were director Sofia
Coppola, Italian actresses Coco Rebecca Edogamhe, Linda Caridi, Fotini Peluso,
Alma Noce and Caterina De Angelis, the DJs Peggy Gou, Wladimir Schall and
Amandine de la Richardière, as well as the band Le Feste Antonacci and
choreographer Dimitri Chamblas.

Once the show concluded, guests were ushered into another space with
colourful jewelled buttons for a party with performances by Le Feste Antonacci
and the singer Angèle, followed by DJ sets by Peggy Gou and Wladimir Schall.
The stunning Chanel 2021/22 Métiers d’art collection is now available in select
boutiques across the world.
