100 for Change NPO – makinga differencewhere itcounts…..manyof us are exposedto
variousNon-ProfitOrganizationsand greatcauses…. theneverynow andagaina cause comesalong
that makessense andyoufeel the needtomake a difference,be involvedandsupport.
100 for Change NPO is just “that”
Here is a NPOwitha difference….A verysimple strategy,3passionate causesie the Elderly -
growingoldwithdignityandhaving apurpose inLIFE, Education - fundamental FoundationPhase
educationforthe lessfortunate studentsensuringthattheycan getthe BASICSrightand then
ANIMALS- howdo we desperatelyeducate andchange the way individuals thinkandactabout
Animals.
Bestpracticesand successesinotherendmarketshave proventhatan integratedapproachworks
mostsuccessfullybyinfluencingacommunity by changingbehaviourand amindset– by applying
thisapproach we can addressthe children/the elderly/the parentsandthe raisingof animalsin
the community.
These THREE causes are interwoven withthis NPO ie 100 for Changemake a difference
The followingbenefactorshave beenidentified:
Bottelray Primary School, a farm communityschool basedonBottelrayRoad, Kraaifontein,runbya
passionate Principal,MrCrawford and Teachers,school feesandafeedingschemesare fullyfunded
by the government. The needsare extralessonsin Mathand Life Skillsforthe childrenandParental
Guidance forthe Parents. ResearchedMathGameswhichwill be presentedasfuninteractive
“games”overand above the teachersCAPSystem, toenhance the level of Mathand analytical
reasoning. These are twoidentifiedsofar:

2. Change for the Better Foundation(Animal Welfare),onthe cornerof BotfonteinRoad onBottelray
Road,Kraaifontein,ahome fordesolate andabandoned animals. Here 100 forChange wouldlike to
fundthe vetbillswhere possibleanduse the staff fromthe foundationtodoworkshopswiththe
childrenatthe school in educatingthe kids. Fun involvementlike the gradeswritinganessayon
howto care for animalsandthenthese childrenwill be selectedtoattendanoutreachprogramme
to assistat the foundationasan excursionfrom the school.
RetiredFrail Care Home inScottsville – supportingandassistingelderlytogrow oldwithdignityand
have a purpose intheirgoldenyears /plus,OthelloRetirementVillage onBottelray Road – using
retiredteacherstoassistwithMath extralessons andLife SkillsWorkshops. We have a low-income
retirementhome inScottsville where basicneedsare metandwe are consideringinvolvement from
a fewinstitutions tocome andgive the elderlyfolkspecial treatslikeahandmassage,a haircutand
readingtothem,interactingwiththe elderlyand generallyaddingvalue totheirlives. Aninitiative
to getthe primaryschool childreninvolvedwill be toalsowrite anessayon “how we value our
grandparentsandthe role theyplayinour lives”. Havingthe childrenattendanexcursionof visiting
the elderlytospendtime withthem. Thenwe have the OthelloRetirementVillagedownthe road
on BottelrayRoad,where we have retiredteachers,executives frommanycorporates whomare
onlytoowillingtoassistandteachat the school.
How do we achieve this:
By youcommittingtodonate R100 a month for a twoyear period we are able to achieve these
objectivesandreallymake adifference.
Retirement for
Underprivileged Folk –
giving them purpose and
growingoldwithdignity –
Offering retired folk an
opportunity to share
their knowledge
Educating Children on
Prevention of Cruelty to
Animals –changingperceptions
to raising an extension of the
family with their animals
Education Foundation Phase – extra math
lessons in a fun and interactive method –
teaching children to respect their elders and
appreciate the knowledge they have too pass
on to them and educate the children on how
to care for animals by volunteering at the
animal welfare in their home town

3. You will receivemonthlyfeedbackcommunicationonprogressandregularinteractionatcommunity
days(shouldyoube available andclose bytoattend) tointeractwiththe children,elderlyand
animals.
100 forChange’sobjectiveistohave a 5 to 10 year planinthisidentifiedcommunityandnothing
will bringusgreaterjoythan to see childrenprogressandbecome ambassadorsintheircommunity.
