I was in a magnet program that focused on ecological sciences. We spent a lot of time “in the field” studying the
topics we were studying. This program was ranked among the best and most rigorous in the state of Maryland.

I help manage and run Jeff’s shaved ice shacks. This includes acting as the cashier, taking people’s orders, restocking
flavors, and clean up/shutting down at night. When I’m not working at a shaved ice shack, I take care of his three
small children (ages 3, 20 months, and 6 months).

I served in the Massachusetts Boston Mission under President Daniel Packard. I served as a trainer three times and
opened a Chinese speaking area for sister missionaries while training.
Calleva Outdoors High Adventure Camp
Assistant Instructor / Summers of 2009-2013
I worked in a program called “Growing Green” – a program designed to teach children about producing their own
food and taking care of the earth. As an assistant instructor, I helped create the curriculum we would use to teach the
children in our section of the camp. I was also in charge of overseeing safety in the program and overnight
adventures.

Awards and Acknowledgements
Young Women’s Personal Progress Award
Completed all the requirements of the Personal Progress Award (There are 8 “values”, each require you to do 6
experience projects, and a cumulative 10-hour project).
Young Women’s Personal Progress Honor Bee
The Honor Bee has two requirements: 1) Reread the Book of Mormon and 2) Serve others for a total of 40 hours.
Some of the hours must be done while mentoring another young woman. I helped a fellow young woman with
Cerebral Palsy earn her Personal Progress Award. I also helped a young girl struggling with depression work on
Personal Progress.
Girl Scout Silver Award
Spent over 50 hours organizing a project for a homeless shelter. I knitted over 50 scarves for a shelter for mothers and
children.
Girl Scout Bronze Award
I collected fabric from local stores and from my dad’s textile samples to sew quilts for a homeless shelter.
Superintendents Student Service Learning Award
Outside of church assignments and girl scout projects, I performed over 250 service hours to my community.
