disciplinary and multi-cultural team of up to 40 employees. Continual professional development is
very important to me. I am a participant in the Portland Latino Service Providers Networkand
serve on the Advisory Board of the Portland-based non-profit, Refugee Assistance and Information
NetworkInternational (RAIN).
I have extensive workexperience in program development with youthpopulations in Oregon,
Guatemala and South Korea. For the past six years, I have worked interchangeably in both Spanish
and English with both team members and clients. I have had the pleasure to develop two
sustainable educational and volunteer programs in Guatemala, and two Federally-funded Refugee
Resettlement programs forundocumented and unaccompanied youth in Portland,Oregon. I have
successfully written clear policies, equitable procedures and knowledgeable trainings whichhave
contributed to the success of these programs.
