FC Miami City Champions to become
the official Miami soccer team
FC Miami City Champions will be the highest level of men's soccer in Miami playing
in the most prestigious nationwide championship
Owned and operated by US Champions Soccer Academy Group (USCSA), The FC Miami City
Champions is proud to announce they joined the Premier Development League (PDL) as an expansion
team.
Miami, Florida - F.C Miami City Champions has been working diligently since January to bring the PDL
to the Miami metro area. The PDL is a soccer league established in the United States and Canada with
68 teams playing in 2015. F.C Miami City champions will join a thriving PDL as expansion franchises in
the United States in 2015.
"Our goal is to build one of the top teams in the country while providing an opportunity for the talented
players in the area," Owner and President Ravy Truchot said. "This is our first step in establishing a
nationally competitive soccer club. We have amazing players in our area who will be proud to play for
the official soccer team of Miami".
"The PDL is seen as a "window shop" designed to aim professional clubs looking into discovering and
identifying aspiring professional players who may enter the MLS SuperDraft in the next few years. Many
of the players currently play in Major League Soccer and elsewhere. They began their careers in the
PDL. Playing for FC Miami City Champions will give two opportunities: playing for the official team of
Miami and boosting visibility of talented players" according to Ravy Truchot.

Home field will be played at Florida International University (FIU) Soccer Stadium. The soccer-specific
facility features a natural grass playing surface and seating for over 5,000 fans.
Announcements regarding coaching staff and tryouts are expected in the coming weeks, with tryouts
expected in December and January.

Founded in February 2014 and inducted to the Premier Development League (PDL) in November 2014,
the F.C Miami City Champions is the official advanced development club of US Champions Soccer
Academy group. The F.C Miami City Champions will compete in the Premier Development League
(PDL), the third tier of the American Soccer Pyramid.
The mission of US Champions Soccer Academy is to provide the highest level possible of professional
technical, tactical and development skills' in order to qualified young players, assisting them in fulfilling
their potential. Also, US Champions Soccer Academy creates amazing opportunities for the players to
play at the highest levels, both in the state and beyond, commensurate with their abilities.
About the PDL
The proven developmental leader in North American soccer's evolving tiered structure, the 2014 PDL
featured 64 teams within four conferences throughout the United States and Canada, including 12
teams affiliated with USL PRO and/or Major League Soccer clubs. The PDL has proven to be an
important stepping-stone for top professionals now playing throughout the world, with 70 percent of all
MLS draftees having PDL experience. In addition to league play, PDL teams compete in the Lamar Hunt
U.S. Open Cup as well as in various exhibitions.
