Net Bookings: DoD Comparison for Jan 20, Feb 20, Mar 20 & Apr 20
If we look at entire Europe, then the net bookings have decreased gradually from the month of Jan to Feb. However, cometh the
month of March and it takes a steep decline.
In March for few weeks the net bookings is negative which indicates that cancellations are more than bookings.
The intermediate dips that are being shown are weekends where the bookings are low.

The first cases of Corona were not registered in Europe till Feb 2020. As such the net bookings started dropping in Feb and in Mar it
was worst.
Those countries are amongst the worst affected where the cases of corona is higher. Italy – 129K cases; -62% and -133% drop in
Feb and Mar, Spain – 131K cases; -59% and -115% drop in Feb and Mar, Germany – 100K cases; -66% and -174% drop in Feb and
Mar, France - 93K cases; -66% and 174%% drop in Feb and Mar.

In terms of Net Bookings, we see the maximum decline in the month of March in BENELUX. Also, in March the no. of cancellations
is more than bookings.
In terms of Net Bookings, all three countries have shown decline since Jan onwards. Netherlands has shown the maximum decline
followed by Belgium and then Luxemburg.

In terms of Net Bookings, an YoY comparison shows that all cities have shown less bookings compared to last year since Jan
onwards. Amsterdam is the only exception that showed an increase in Jan but then almost double decline in Feb and Mar.
In terms of Net Bookings, MoM comparison shows that net bookings have decreased over Feb and Mar. In Mar for all cities the net
bookings is negative which means cancellations are more than bookings.
The dip in net bookings is more than -115% in Mar as compared to Feb across all capitals.
