analyzer, which perform mainly on blood and other body fluid
analysis in the determination of different kidney and liver function
test, cardiac and lipid profile test, blood glucose level and
electrolytes.

 BLOOD BANK
Does ABO and Rh blood grouping, broad spectrum compatibility
testing of patients’ blood with a prospective donor for transfusion,
processing of different blood components and derivatives using
DADE SEROFUGE, screening and bleeding of possible donors.
 CLINICAL MICROSCOPY / PARASITOLOGY
Includes macroscopic and microscopic examination of urine, feces,
and other body fluids. Chemical analysis of these specimens is also
done for the presence of some pathological components.
 BACTERIOLOGY
Trained in using machine such as BACTEC and in the preparation of
different culture media, inoculation of specimen for the isolation of
microorganisms, preparations of stains and staining of slide to
differentiate organisms based on their staining reactions. Sensitivity
testing is also done.
 HISTOPATHOLOGY
Trained in receiving, entering and labeling the specimen, do
embedding, staining of PAPS and FNAB.
 PHLEBOTOMY
Well experienced in blood extractions of patients form all ages and
bleeding of donors.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Responsible for doing drug and alcohol testing for all local airline
pilots and other staff performing “sensitive safety functions” in
airline industry as per General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA)
regulation.
 In Accordance with the prescribed procedures, it also includes
proficiency in the use of controls and standards in the performance
of daily calibration procedures assist with the quality control,
preparations of reagents and materials and preventive
maintenance program of the different sections of the laboratory.
 Performs External Quality Assessments Schemes such RIQAS, UK
NEQAS and CAP.
 Technician in charge in all send away tests to our referral laboratory
in and outside UAE. And follow up of all results to ensure correct
turn around time is followed.
 To perform routine clerical and general non-technical laboratory
duties in medical laboratory to include sorting and filing laboratory
requisitions, calculating charges and reporting laboratory results to
appropriate medical personnel
 To review and log daily temperature for drug room, fridge and
freezers (-20 and -75) to ensure integrity of temperature.
 To open shipping boxes on a daily basis and disseminate as
appropriate
 To retrieve, copy, file or fax test requisitions according to standard
