It is with great pleasure that I take this opportunity to recommend Mr. Raphael Reid Anderson-
Ayers. I have had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Anderson-Ayers when he transferred to
Columbia College Chicago 3 years ago. During that time, he has taken 2 classes with me and
has excelled in all of them. Raphael is a very talented and creative individual. He has the ability
to express his ideas in writing and present them in a professional manner.
I have served as an adviser to Raphael and more importantly a mentor. As you review his
resume you will see that he has a plethora of academic, experiential and work experience in the
sports management field. This is due to his tremendous work ethic and hard work. Upon his
arrival to Columbia, we sat down and created a plan. Raphael took that plan and exceeded all
expectations. He has worked for the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Sky, the Northwestern
Wildcats and Under Armour. He has volunteered for the Chicago Marathon, Ram Racings Hot
Chocolate race, and so many more opportunities.
With all that he has done and the outstanding work that he has presented to me in class, I hired
Mr. Anderson-Ayers to travel with my company to China. In his role as my personal assistant
and team manger for a basketball tour. Once again, he excelled in all of his tasks. He went
above and beyond for the team at all times. Once he was informed of his role and
responsibilities for the tour, I never had to remind him to do his job. He took care of the
players needs while touring which allowed me to work for the players in other capacities.
It is for these reasons that I highly recommend Raphael Reid Anderson-Ayers. He will be a true
