Optimization of heavy duty diesel genset engine to meet stage (CPCB) 2 norms.
 To create One Dimensional (1D) simulation model for baseline engine performance in
GT suite.
 To develop new optimized engine model to improve Fuel Economy, Engine
performance, to reduce Emissions.
 Requirement gathering and analysis.
 Converting requirements to functional design.
 Testing of base engine in test cell to collect performance data.
 1D Simulation in GT-Power Model.
 Peripheral Study of Heavy duty Diesel Engine.
 Optimization of FIP System, EGR system, Turbo charger in GT-Power Model.
 Simulation and Validation of 1D Engine Model in GT POWER.
 Functional optimization performed on Heavy duty diesel engine.

2. EMPLOYMENT RECITAL

Highlights:
 Tested Steady State 5 mode Emission cycle and performance of the heavy duty diesel genset
engine.
 Performed Advanced Emission and Combustion development tests on the diesel genset
engines, resulting in improved performance and reduced emissions in ARAI power-train lab.
 Optimisation of EGR through gas flow rate.
 Comparisons of fuel pumps with different feed rate and pressure rate along with improved fuel
pump performance.
 Comparisons of Turbochargers with different flow rate and matching of turbocharger with
given engine Compressor and turbine map for optimization of diesel genset engine.
 Engine Control Systems and Engine development tools
 Knowledge of Data acquisition systems and other research and development laboratory related
equipment.
 Tested Steady State emission and performance of the engine with Fuel injection systems,
resulting in better performance.
 Tested heavy duty advanced diesel engine for emission, performance, fuel economy.
 Studied and having knowledge of Gasoline & Diesel Engine Calibration, Base Calibration,
Emission Calibration, Driveability & Usability Calibration.
B.E. PROJECT
Project
Pusher and Pre-pusher Mechanism of cartooning machine.
Designed whole mechanism as per designing criteria of company. The function of the pre-pusher
is to insert the leaflet into the carton up to certain length without physically damaging the leaflet
and carton both prior to the insertion of the product.
