Uterovaginal prolapse is a condition where the uterus and top of the vagina drop or push into or out of the vaginal opening. It can cause increased vaginal discharge, odor, ulcerations, pelvic discomfort, and incarceration if not treated. Complications from treatment with a ring pessary are rare if it is properly fitted.
