 He was born in Feb 1915,at Hadali.
 Studied at Modern School , Delhi.
 Received his higher education from
Government college , Lahore.
 Eventually studied at st.stephen’s college in
Delhi & King’s college in London.
 He is an Journalist ,Writer ,Historian ,Critic.

 His elder brother name is Bhagwant.
 His birth name is given by his grandmother
was Kushal Singh.
 His pet name is Shalee.

 He married to kawal Malik.
 They had a son and daughter.

4. Career:
 Started his professional career as Lawyer,1938.
 Entered Indian foreign services in 1947.
 Started as informational officer of the
government of India inToronto, Canada.
 Public officer for Indian High commission in
London.
 In 1951,Joined All India Radio as Journalist.
 In 1954,worked in department of Mass
communication in UNESCO.

 He founded and editedYojana and
2 Newspapers.
 From 1980-86, member of Rajya Sabha.
 He was accused of favouring the ruling party.
 On 20th March 2016,He died of natural causes.

 This novel is based on 1947, separation of

massive destruction of war.

 The theme of the book is the relationship
between men and women.
 The Company ofWomen was started when he
was eighty-three and finished at age eighty-
five.
 The story runs around a person called mohan
kumar, from his college days to old age.
 This is a book of 294 pages.
