ACADEMICS
Chemical Engineering – Federal University of Rio de Janeiro -UFRJ (1996)
M.Sc in Chemical Engineering – Coppe-UFRJ (1999)
Post-Graduation in Software Analysis, Design and Management – PUC-RJ (2003)
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Technical Consultant, Chemtech (2010 to 2014)
Development and implementation of CAE tools, greatly reducing cost and effort to produce documents and
assuring data consistency.
Highlights:
• Implementation of the COMOS system to the FEED and Detailing Design Project of the Northeast
Refinery - RNEST, world highlight for this system.
• Development of customizations, automations and data transfer between COMOS and other
engineering tools such as AutoCAD, PDMS and engineering calculation software.
• Development of tools to automatic replication and modification of documents for twin units design
projects, using MSOffice, AutoCAD and Microstation APIs.
Participation in development of corporate software for management support.
Orientation and consulting to the teammates and colleages from other engineering disciplines to define
and evaluate solutions.
2. Process Engineer, Chemtech (2005 to 2009)
Basic engineering. Participation in FEED projects of oil rigs and pilot plants to Petrobras production division.
Dimensioning of flare system and pressure safety valves (PSV).
Participation in HAZOP.
Development Engineer, Chemtech (2000 to 2006)
Development of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to several industry sectors (mining, pulp and
paper, water supply), including interfaces with legacy systems, visualization resources, remote data
acquisition and process modeling.
Highlights:
• MES for the Samarco mining company, implementing modules for ore pipeline management and
maintenance management, offering visualizations and statistics not available before.
• Water Adduction Control and Operation System of Sabesp (São Paulo metropolitan water
company, fifth biggest in the world) including interfaces with legacy systems and real-time remote
acquisition of telemetry data.
Implementation of new functionalities for the Petrobras’ process simulator (Petrox) with modeling,
algorithm development and software coding in Fortran and C++.
Creation and definition of software architecture since database to screen layout.
Production of technical documentation.
M.Sc. student, Coppe-UFRJ (1997 to 1999)
Development of an automatic control system to a lab polymerization reaction. Implementation of
connection solutions between different systems and communication drivers with the process. LabVIEW and
Matlab environments.
