Newsletter: Do you send a regular email newsletter? If so, announce
your new Facebook page in a newsletter and be sure to give people a
reason to your Facebook page and click “Like.” In addition, be sure to
have a link to your Facebook page in every email you send to your list. It
can be in the footer with links to any other social media accounts.
Twitter: Periodically tweet about something going on at your Face-
book page to entice followers on Twitter to go to your Facebook page.
It doesn’t always have to be a contest. It could be a great conversation
that’s happening.
Physical Location: If you have a physical location for your business,
put up a sign to tell people where to find you on Facebook and remind
employees to tell visitors to find you on Facebook.
QR Code: Put a QR code up at your place of business that leads peo-
ple to your Facebook page. Read up on best QR code marketing prac-
tices before you create the code.
Products: If you have products that are sold in stores, promote your
Facebook page on the products. I wrote an article about a product
called Kids N Pets that does that and it works wonderfully for them. Read
the article here.

Facebook Logo: The Like box shares more information (you can
show the number of Likes, etc), but I think it’s best to have both options.
Put the logo next to your other social media profile buttons like Twitter
and YouTube. Most people know what to do when they see the logos, so
don’t miss out from potential fans. Download a logo from Facebook.
Blog Article: Write a blog article about your Facebook page. It’s most
effective if you are offering something on Facebook, but if not, just give
them a good reason to “Like” you.
Email Signature: Add a link to your Facebook page to your email sig-
nature and make sure it’s on all your employees’ email signatures as well.
Use WiseStamp to add it. Also, consider putting a link to your Facebook
Page on your business cards.
6
Like Box: Add a Like box to your website. You can grab the code from
Facebook and have your website designer add it to your site.

What to Post on Your Facebook Page

14
Photos: If you’ve spent any amount of time on Facebook, you can at-
test to the number of funny photos that get posted. Find photos related
to your business or just any photo will do. If it makes a great statement,
chances are, your photo will be shared and more people will discover
your Facebook page. In addition, people love to comment, share and
like photos.
Videos: Again, these don’t always have to be your videos. There are
millions of options on YouTube. If you find something of interest, post it.
Funny, cute, thought provoking or inspiring videos are always winners.
Blog Articles: If you have a blog for your business (good for you!)
then you should share every article on Facebook. In addition to posting
a link to it, ask people a question related to the article to get them com-
menting.
Other People’s Content: Find other people’s blog articles and
share links to them on your page.
Tag: If you “Like” other Facebook pages when using Facebook as your
page, you can tag that other page. To mention them, just type “@” and
the business page name. Now this status update you created will show
up on their page. You may end up getting new fans because of it and
they will know that you mentioned them on your Facebook page.
BONUS IDEA
Share Industry Tips
Share useful, bite-sized tips. These are easy to share and people
appreciate the helpful information. For instance, on the Idea Sprouts
Facebook Page, I share online marketing tips.

17
18
Invite Fans to Ask Questions: You can tell people to post their
questions on your Page and answer them.
Live Q & A: Even better, have a designated live question and answer
session on your Facebook page. You can have someone from your
business monitor the page for an hour and set up a topic to spark peo-
ple’s questions.
19
20
Stream Live: Broadcast a live interview, seminar or press conference
right on your Facebook page. Using an app called Livestream will facili-
tate live streaming on your page.
Featured Fan: Pick a Fan of the Week or Fan of the Month and fea-
ture them. You don’t have to make it into a contest to win anything.
You’re simply saying thank you for being a great fan.
Facts and Figures: Find statistics related to your industry or ones
that will interest your fans. You’ll get a lot of people posting and sharing
when you open their eyes to interesting facts. Bonus: add interesting
facts to a photo and you’ve created your own unique content.
BONUS IDEA
Special Day
Pick a day that you do something special on your Page. For instance,
if you own a clothing store, have a Fashion Friday and have fans post
a photo of their favorite outfit. One nonprofit I know shares a compel-
ling image on Wordless Wednesday. Get creative and make it a habit.
You’re sure to get a lot of comments and likes.
15
Questions: If you want people to comment, ask them questions! It’s a
surefire way to get people commenting.

Tips for Posting on Your Facebook Page
21• • •25
21
22
23
24
25
Share Relevant Content: Keep your target market in mind when
posting something to your Facebook page. Will they find it interest-
ing? Helpful? A lot of pages tend to update their page with “Company
News.” That’s okay from time to time, but don’t bore your fans.
Get Personal: Ask people how their days are going, what their plans
are for the weekend or how the weather is where they are. People love
to chat on Facebook and you’ll be surprised by how many response
you get to these types of questions.
Be Authentic: Your business has a personality and you should show
it. Make sure that whoever is posting on your Facebook page as your
business is showing the best face of your business. People will respond
positively to the personality of your business.
Have Fun: Yes, you’re serious about business, but you can have fun
on your Facebook page! Use photos and videos as a way to inject
some fun into your page.
Repeat What Works: Over time, you’ll notice patterns. Certain con-
tent will evoke more response. Make sure you keep that in mind when
you’re brainstorming upcoming posts. Give ‘em what they want!
BONUS IDEA
Facebook Insights
Use the analytics that Facebook provides you with, called Insights. In-
sights will show you data on new likes, unlikes, your reach (how many
people saw your posts) and how many people were talking about your
posts. The “Talking About” metric combines all the likes, shares and
comments on your posts.
Use this data to make better decisions about what to post. You can
see what people respond to the most and post more of that type of
content.

How to Jazz Up Your Page With Extras
26• • •28
26
27
28
Giveaways: Who doesn’t love winning something? People love to
enter contests! It doesn’t always have to be a big giveaway either. Just
remember to follow the Facebook promotion rules. You’ll need to use an
app to facilitate the giveaway. I have listed my favorites in the Resourc-
es section of this guide.
Landing Tab: You’ll convert more “likes” if you have a landing tab.
You can send people to a landing tab as opposed to sending them di-
rectly to your wall. A custom landing tab gives people a reason to click
like.
Note: Due to the Facebook changes in early 2012, you can only direct
people to a landing tab, you cannot have people land here when they
go directly to your page. So to get people to land directly on a custom
landing tab, send them to that tab from your website, an email or Face-
book Ads.
Opt-in Form: On your landing tab (or another tab) present an offer to
people that requires them to give you their email address to take ad-
vantage of the offer. A bonus to having a Facebook page is building up
your email list!
Keep people coming back to your page and spend more time there, by adding
great features for your fans. They’ll be able to spend more time on your page
exploring all of your content. All of these options can be added as “Tabs” on
your Facebook page. Facebook apps are used to add tabs. To learn more about
apps, read my blog article.
Note: I share apps for implementing the following ideas in the Resources section
of this report.
29
Fan Gate: Require that people “like” your page in order to see spe-
cial content. Make them want to like your page!

34
Educate: If your product or service requires a bit of educating in order
to convert people to customers or to buy more, use a section on your
Facebook page to teach them. Teavana , a specialty tea shop, does a
great job of this on their fan page. I wrote an article about their tactic
and how you can do something similar on your Facebook page.
Introduce Yourself: Have an about us tab or a tab on the founder
or someone else of importance in your company. I did this on my Face-
book page so people know who is behind Idea Sprouts (me!)
35
FAQ: If you get a lot of questions about your business or products,
consider adding an FAQ tab to your Facebook page.
Recommendations: If your Facebook page is set up as a local
business, you can ask for recommendations from your fans. Here’s an
article I wrote to show you how to set up your page to receive recom-
mendations.
31
Sell Stuff: Do you sell products? Add an app for a store to sell your
products. Or maybe just feature your product of the day or week at a
special price to create some buzz.
30
Free Stuff: Offer a free sample, coupon, video, download, trial or
chapter of a book.
36
Pinterest: People love Pinterest! If you have a Pinterest page for your
business, add a tab for it. People can see your boards and follow you.
Use Woobox to add a free tab for your Pinterest page.
37
Newsletter Signup: Let people sign up for your newsletter right from
Facebook. Depending on your email marketing service, they may even
provide an easy to use app to do this on your page.

44
Blog: Have a tab with your blog articles. An app called Networked
Blogs does the job nicely. Or just have a tab that tells people about
your awesome blog and ask them to subscribe to it.
Partners: Do you have any partnerships you’d like your fans to know
about? Perhaps an alliance with another business or a charity you sup-
port? Create a tab to tell them more about it.
Contact Us: Give people an opportunity to contact you privately with-
out going to your website.
45
46
YouTube Channel: If you have a YouTube channel for your busi-
ness, add a tab for it. All of your videos will appear and people can
comment on them within Facebook.
Twitter: Create a tab with all of your latest tweets. I suggest this route
as opposed to having your tweets automatically post directly on your
Facebook wall. People don’t want to see the same posts on Facebook
and Twitter.
SlideShare: SlideShare is a social media networking site where you
can share your presentation slides. If you make a lot of presentations,
you might consider signing up and then adding the app to your Face-
book page. People can get to learn more about what kind of expertise
you share. Add the SlideShare app on Facebook to get the tab.
38
39
Store Locator: If you have more than one location or products that
are sold in many different stores, add a store locator.
Map: If you have one location that people need to find, add a tab with
a map and directions.
Resources: Create a tab with helpful resources. These can include
your own blog articles and free downloads as well as useful websites
for your customers.

Using Pictures and Words
47• • •50
47
49
48
Profile Picture: The profile image is the small square image that
shows in the left bottom corner at the top of your page. This image will
also be shown on your fans’ streams when you post something. So you
want this image to be recognizable and easy to decipher. You must
upload an image in the size of 180 x 180 pixels, but this image will only
show up as 160 x 160 pixels.
About: Below the profile picture is a little space to put text. It’s pretty
limited, so make good use of this about section. I suggest you include
a link to your website at the end of this text. That way, if someone is on
your page and is interested in learning more about your business, they
can quickly click to visit your site.
Cover Photo: The cover photo is the big image at the top of your
page. The size of this image is 851 x 315 pixels. Facebook rules do not
allow you to use this image to promote your business in any way. That
means you can’t have your website, address, phone number or any
mention of sales or free offers.
Instead, take advantage of this space by adding an image that gives
people a sense of what your business is about. Take a look at these
examples I like.
When you set up your Page, you’re given space to add text about your business
and the opportunity to add unique images. Be sure to use this to your advan-
tage. Here’s how.

Timeline Images: Facebook Timeline was introduced in early 2012
and the idea behind it was for people to create a timeline of all the
events in their lives. Business Pages can do the same thing by noting
important events in company history.
If you feel your company history is interesting to fans, by all means, add
images to reflect it. Some examples you may want to take a look at are
the U.S. Army and Coca-Cola.
50 ideas were simply not enough . . . here’s one more!
BONUS IDEA
The Importance of Photos
Photos and other images are very important on your Facebook page.
Typically, they get the most response from your fans – a lot of likes,
shares and comments. Share images related to your business, of your
business in action or every now and then, images that are inspiring or
funny.
50
Call to Action Images: To the bottom right of your cover photo,
you’ll see small images. One is always there. It is a link to your photo
albums and it displays you latest photo you’ve added. The other 3 are
available for your Facebook apps and you can add your own images
for them. This is a great opportunity for you to call people to action. For
instance, have a custom tab that has a sign up for your email list. Your
custom image can then be “Sign Up” or “Stay Connected”.
Take a look at the Idea Sprouts Facebook page for ideas on what you
can do.

Facebook on the Go: Use the Facebook Pages Manager app on
your smartphone to manage your page on the go. You can post, see
comments and get insights. I’ve written a guide on how to set up and
use the app. Use your phone to snap photos at events and share them
immediately on your Facebook page.
Giveaways: Host a giveaway on your Facebook Page. You can build
up your Facebook likes and even add people to your email list. Here’s
some advice on how to have a successful Facebook giveaway.
Call to Action Images: You can use Facebook Ads to generate
more likes, enter a giveaway or to send to a website off of Facebook. To
see if advertising on Facebook is a good option for your business, take
a look at the different Facebook advertising options available to you.

Wildfire: Wildfire offers a free iFrame app so you can add custom tabs to your
Facebook page. It even includes a fan gate that allows you to keep content hid-
den until someone clicks like - a great way to entice people to like your page.
Facebook Apps:
Resources for Facebook Marketing
Networked Blogs: Either automatically post blog posts to your wall and/or to a
separate tab. I choose to manually post my blog posts to add my own com-
ments. But I do use the separate tab for showing my latest blog articles.
North Social: With North Social, you pay a monthly fee to access nearly 20 dif-
ferent apps. I do like their sweepstakes app and the price is very reasonable.
Pagemodo: Free as well as paid templates for Facebook pages. I use their Con-
tact Us tab on the Idea Sprouts Facebook page.
Involver: Has a number of free apps for your Facebook page and of course
they also have paid apps available. There are some great free apps including
ones for adding tabs that feature your coupons, Twitter feed, YouTube channel,
Google + page and Flickr photos.
SocialBios: Create an About Me or About Us page on SocialBios and you can
add it as a tab on Facebook. This is a nice feature so fans can learn more about
you or the CEO of your company. I have it installed on the Idea Sprouts Face-
book page.
Booshaka: A free app that shows you and your fans who are the “Top Fans” -
that is, the people who comment and contribute the most to your page.
Woobox: Similar to North Social, this is a suite of apps that you pay to access all
of the apps. They also have a free plan that gives you quite a lot. You can create
a custom tab with a like gate, add a Pinterest tab with your Pinterest boards and
even have a coupon tab.
GroSocial: If you want to add your own unique content to a tab, I recommend
GroSocial. This app gives you a drag-and-drop builder that starts you off with
nice looking templates that you can then add your own pictures, text and other
content. They have a free 30-day trial so you can see if you like it.

Wisestamp: Email signatures with links to your social media accounts and latest
blog article.
If you have a Wordpress website, here are a few helpful social media plugins
that I like to use.
Optin Skin: Use the pre-made designs to easily add a beautifully designed call
to action anywhere on your blog. Included designs encourage people to share
your articles on Facebook and other social media sites or to subscribe to your
blog. Read my full review to learn more about this must-have plugin.
Social Media Widget: Easily add links to your social media sites with included
logos. It’s very simple to use.
Slick Social Share Buttons: If you have a blog, add these good looking social
media sharing buttons to each post. Every time someone clicks the Facebook
Like button on a post of yours, a link to your post gets shared on that person’s
Facebook wall. Talk about viral marketing!
Social Plugins: Facebook social plugins so you can add like buttons, recom-
mend buttons and more to your website.
Facebook Logos: Authorized logos you can use from Facebook.
Facebook Marketing: Get in-depth Facebook marketing training in easy to fol-
low videos. The FB Influence program teaches you everything you need to know
about getting more fans and sales from Facebook. I highly recommend the
program. Learn more about FB Influence ->

If so, announce your new Facebook page in a newsletter and be sure to give people a reason to your Facebook page and click “Like.” In addition, be sure to have a link to your Facebook page in every email you send to your list. It can be in the footer with links to any other social media accounts. Twitter: Periodically tweet about something going on at your Face- book page to entice followers on Twitter to go to your Facebook page. It doesn’t always have to be a contest. It could be a great conversation that’s happening. Physical Location: If you have a physical location for your business, put up a sign to tell people where to find you on Facebook and remind employees to tell visitors to find you on Facebook. QR Code: Put a QR code up at your place of business that leads peo- ple to your Facebook page. Read up on best QR code marketing prac- tices before you create the code. Products: If you have products that are sold in stores, promote your Facebook page on the products. I wrote an article about a product called Kids N Pets that does that and it works wonderfully for them. Read the article here.

Put the logo next to your other social media profile buttons like Twitter and YouTube. Most people know what to do when they see the logos, so don’t miss out from potential fans. Download a logo from Facebook. Blog Article: Write a blog article about your Facebook page. It’s most effective if you are offering something on Facebook, but if not, just give them a good reason to “Like” you. Email Signature: Add a link to your Facebook page to your email sig- nature and make sure it’s on all your employees’ email signatures as well. Use WiseStamp to add it. Also, consider putting a link to your Facebook Page on your business cards. 6 Like Box: Add a Like box to your website. You can grab the code from Facebook and have your website designer add it to your site.
  • 5. 5 •••••••••••• 50 FACEBOOK MARKETING IDEAS ••••••••••••••• •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Share This Ebook! www.ideasprouts.com What to Post on Your Facebook Page 10• • •14 10 11 12 13 14 Photos: If you’ve spent any amount of time on Facebook, you can at- test to the number of funny photos that get posted. Find photos related to your business or just any photo will do. If it makes a great statement, chances are, your photo will be shared and more people will discover your Facebook page. In addition, people love to comment, share and like photos. Videos: Again, these don’t always have to be your videos. There are millions of options on YouTube. If you find something of interest, post it. Funny, cute, thought provoking or inspiring videos are always winners. Blog Articles: If you have a blog for your business (good for you!) then you should share every article on Facebook. In addition to posting a link to it, ask people a question related to the article to get them com- menting. Other People’s Content: Find other people’s blog articles and share links to them on your page. Tag: If you “Like” other Facebook pages when using Facebook as your page, you can tag that other page. To mention them, just type “@” and the business page name. Now this status update you created will show up on their page. You may end up getting new fans because of it and they will know that you mentioned them on your Facebook page. BONUS IDEA Share Industry Tips Share useful, bite-sized tips. These are easy to share and people appreciate the helpful information. For instance, on the Idea Sprouts Facebook Page, I share online marketing tips.

Live Q & A: Even better, have a designated live question and answer session on your Facebook page. You can have someone from your business monitor the page for an hour and set up a topic to spark peo- ple’s questions. 19 20 Stream Live: Broadcast a live interview, seminar or press conference right on your Facebook page. Using an app called Livestream will facili- tate live streaming on your page. Featured Fan: Pick a Fan of the Week or Fan of the Month and fea- ture them. You don’t have to make it into a contest to win anything. You’re simply saying thank you for being a great fan. Facts and Figures: Find statistics related to your industry or ones that will interest your fans. You’ll get a lot of people posting and sharing when you open their eyes to interesting facts. Bonus: add interesting facts to a photo and you’ve created your own unique content. BONUS IDEA Special Day Pick a day that you do something special on your Page. For instance, if you own a clothing store, have a Fashion Friday and have fans post a photo of their favorite outfit. One nonprofit I know shares a compel- ling image on Wordless Wednesday. Get creative and make it a habit. You’re sure to get a lot of comments and likes. 15 Questions: If you want people to comment, ask them questions! It’s a surefire way to get people commenting.
  • 7. 7 •••••••••••• 50 FACEBOOK MARKETING IDEAS ••••••••••••••• •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Share This Ebook! www.ideasprouts.com Tips for Posting on Your Facebook Page 21• • •25 21 22 23 24 25 Share Relevant Content: Keep your target market in mind when posting something to your Facebook page. Will they find it interest- ing? Helpful? A lot of pages tend to update their page with “Company News.” That’s okay from time to time, but don’t bore your fans. Get Personal: Ask people how their days are going, what their plans are for the weekend or how the weather is where they are. People love to chat on Facebook and you’ll be surprised by how many response you get to these types of questions. Be Authentic: Your business has a personality and you should show it. Make sure that whoever is posting on your Facebook page as your business is showing the best face of your business. People will respond positively to the personality of your business. Have Fun: Yes, you’re serious about business, but you can have fun on your Facebook page! Use photos and videos as a way to inject some fun into your page. Repeat What Works: Over time, you’ll notice patterns. Certain con- tent will evoke more response. Make sure you keep that in mind when you’re brainstorming upcoming posts. Give ‘em what they want! BONUS IDEA Facebook Insights Use the analytics that Facebook provides you with, called Insights. In- sights will show you data on new likes, unlikes, your reach (how many people saw your posts) and how many people were talking about your posts. The “Talking About” metric combines all the likes, shares and comments on your posts. Use this data to make better decisions about what to post. You can see what people respond to the most and post more of that type of content.
  • 8. 8 •••••••••••• 50 FACEBOOK MARKETING IDEAS ••••••••••••••• •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Share This Ebook! www.ideasprouts.com How to Jazz Up Your Page With Extras 26• • •28 26 27 28 Giveaways: Who doesn’t love winning something? People love to enter contests! It doesn’t always have to be a big giveaway either. Just remember to follow the Facebook promotion rules. You’ll need to use an app to facilitate the giveaway. I have listed my favorites in the Resourc- es section of this guide. Landing Tab: You’ll convert more “likes” if you have a landing tab. You can send people to a landing tab as opposed to sending them di- rectly to your wall. A custom landing tab gives people a reason to click like. Note: Due to the Facebook changes in early 2012, you can only direct people to a landing tab, you cannot have people land here when they go directly to your page. So to get people to land directly on a custom landing tab, send them to that tab from your website, an email or Face- book Ads. Opt-in Form: On your landing tab (or another tab) present an offer to people that requires them to give you their email address to take ad- vantage of the offer. A bonus to having a Facebook page is building up your email list! Keep people coming back to your page and spend more time there, by adding great features for your fans. They’ll be able to spend more time on your page exploring all of your content. All of these options can be added as “Tabs” on your Facebook page. Facebook apps are used to add tabs. To learn more about apps, read my blog article. Note: I share apps for implementing the following ideas in the Resources section of this report. 29 Fan Gate: Require that people “like” your page in order to see spe- cial content. Make them want to like your page!

Teavana , a specialty tea shop, does a great job of this on their fan page. I wrote an article about their tactic and how you can do something similar on your Facebook page. Introduce Yourself: Have an about us tab or a tab on the founder or someone else of importance in your company. I did this on my Face- book page so people know who is behind Idea Sprouts (me!) 35 FAQ: If you get a lot of questions about your business or products, consider adding an FAQ tab to your Facebook page. Recommendations: If your Facebook page is set up as a local business, you can ask for recommendations from your fans. Here’s an article I wrote to show you how to set up your page to receive recom- mendations. 31 Sell Stuff: Do you sell products? Add an app for a store to sell your products. Or maybe just feature your product of the day or week at a special price to create some buzz. 30 Free Stuff: Offer a free sample, coupon, video, download, trial or chapter of a book. 36 Pinterest: People love Pinterest! If you have a Pinterest page for your business, add a tab for it. People can see your boards and follow you. Use Woobox to add a free tab for your Pinterest page. 37 Newsletter Signup: Let people sign up for your newsletter right from Facebook. Depending on your email marketing service, they may even provide an easy to use app to do this on your page.
  • 10. 10 •••••••••••• 50 FACEBOOK MARKETING IDEAS ••••••••••••••• •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Share This Ebook! www.ideasprouts.com Jazzing Up Continued 41• • •46 41 42 43 44 Blog: Have a tab with your blog articles. An app called Networked Blogs does the job nicely. Or just have a tab that tells people about your awesome blog and ask them to subscribe to it. Partners: Do you have any partnerships you’d like your fans to know about? Perhaps an alliance with another business or a charity you sup- port? Create a tab to tell them more about it. Contact Us: Give people an opportunity to contact you privately with- out going to your website. 45 46 YouTube Channel: If you have a YouTube channel for your busi- ness, add a tab for it. All of your videos will appear and people can comment on them within Facebook. Twitter: Create a tab with all of your latest tweets. I suggest this route as opposed to having your tweets automatically post directly on your Facebook wall. People don’t want to see the same posts on Facebook and Twitter. SlideShare: SlideShare is a social media networking site where you can share your presentation slides. If you make a lot of presentations, you might consider signing up and then adding the app to your Face- book page. People can get to learn more about what kind of expertise you share. Add the SlideShare app on Facebook to get the tab. 38 39 Store Locator: If you have more than one location or products that are sold in many different stores, add a store locator. Map: If you have one location that people need to find, add a tab with a map and directions. Resources: Create a tab with helpful resources. These can include your own blog articles and free downloads as well as useful websites for your customers. 40

This image will also be shown on your fans’ streams when you post something. So you want this image to be recognizable and easy to decipher. You must upload an image in the size of 180 x 180 pixels, but this image will only show up as 160 x 160 pixels. About: Below the profile picture is a little space to put text. It’s pretty limited, so make good use of this about section. I suggest you include a link to your website at the end of this text. That way, if someone is on your page and is interested in learning more about your business, they can quickly click to visit your site. Cover Photo: The cover photo is the big image at the top of your page. The size of this image is 851 x 315 pixels. Facebook rules do not allow you to use this image to promote your business in any way. That means you can’t have your website, address, phone number or any mention of sales or free offers. Instead, take advantage of this space by adding an image that gives people a sense of what your business is about. Take a look at these examples I like. When you set up your Page, you’re given space to add text about your business and the opportunity to add unique images. Be sure to use this to your advan- tage. Here’s how.

Business Pages can do the same thing by noting important events in company history. If you feel your company history is interesting to fans, by all means, add images to reflect it. Some examples you may want to take a look at are the U.S. Army and Coca-Cola. 50 ideas were simply not enough . . . here’s one more! BONUS IDEA The Importance of Photos Photos and other images are very important on your Facebook page. Typically, they get the most response from your fans – a lot of likes, shares and comments. Share images related to your business, of your business in action or every now and then, images that are inspiring or funny. 50 Call to Action Images: To the bottom right of your cover photo, you’ll see small images. One is always there. It is a link to your photo albums and it displays you latest photo you’ve added. The other 3 are available for your Facebook apps and you can add your own images for them. This is a great opportunity for you to call people to action. For instance, have a custom tab that has a sign up for your email list. Your custom image can then be “Sign Up” or “Stay Connected”. Take a look at the Idea Sprouts Facebook page for ideas on what you can do.

Giveaways: Host a giveaway on your Facebook Page. You can build up your Facebook likes and even add people to your email list. Here’s some advice on how to have a successful Facebook giveaway. Call to Action Images: You can use Facebook Ads to generate more likes, enter a giveaway or to send to a website off of Facebook. It even includes a fan gate that allows you to keep content hid- den until someone clicks like - a great way to entice people to like your page. Facebook Apps: Resources for Facebook Marketing Networked Blogs: Either automatically post blog posts to your wall and/or to a separate tab. I choose to manually post my blog posts to add my own com- ments. But I do use the separate tab for showing my latest blog articles. North Social: With North Social, you pay a monthly fee to access nearly 20 dif- ferent apps. I do like their sweepstakes app and the price is very reasonable. Pagemodo: Free as well as paid templates for Facebook pages. I use their Con- tact Us tab on the Idea Sprouts Facebook page. Involver: Has a number of free apps for your Facebook page and of course they also have paid apps available. There are some great free apps including ones for adding tabs that feature your coupons, Twitter feed, YouTube channel, Google + page and Flickr photos. SocialBios: Create an About Me or About Us page on SocialBios and you can add it as a tab on Facebook. This is a nice feature so fans can learn more about you or the CEO of your company. I have it installed on the Idea Sprouts Face- book page. Booshaka: A free app that shows you and your fans who are the “Top Fans” - that is, the people who comment and contribute the most to your page. Woobox: Similar to North Social, this is a suite of apps that you pay to access all of the apps. They also have a free plan that gives you quite a lot. You can create a custom tab with a like gate, add a Pinterest tab with your Pinterest boards and even have a coupon tab. GroSocial: If you want to add your own unique content to a tab, I recommend GroSocial. This app gives you a drag-and-drop builder that starts you off with nice looking templates that you can then add your own pictures, text and other content. They have a free 30-day trial so you can see if you like it.
