Ramanujan's works were recognized by British
mathematicians like G.H. Hardy, who was
spellbound by his knowledge of advanced
mathematics. In 2012, the former prime
minister Dr. Manmohan Singh marked
National Mathematics Day to pay tribute to
the legendary Srinivasa Ramanujan.

Though he had virtually no formal training in pure

National Mathematics Day by conducting a
workshop on applications of Mathematics and
Ramanujan. The workshop is attended by famous

across the country. Speakers at the national and
world level discuss Srinivasa Ramanujan’s
contribution to mathematics.
