I am a graduate with MFA in Creative Producing from Columbia College Chicago. My course work has greatly increased my knowledge about the film industry and development and producing in particular making me a fit candidate for this position. Through my producing classes, I was able to learn the fundamentals of making a short and feature film. Since, my duration at Columbia College Chicago for almost past two years, I have successful completed my role as a Line Producer on several films and a Producer on 3 films, 2 of which were shot internationally, namely Lebanon and India. Producing a film in countries like Lebanon and India was not at all easy and I was learning about a whole new world of film making with every step I took. The culture of the industry in both these countries is different and required a lot of quick and swift decision making process. It built in me the skill to get acquainted to the place, culture and style of working very fast and with efficiency. I make movies because I found my medium of expression that can inspire people to make changes in their life worth living. I am eager to pursue an internship in development because I have always enjoyed creating fictitious scenarios and developing complex characters. It allows me to come up with characters that people might relate to and sometimes even live them through the medium of film. On a more personal level I think it allows me to understand different people and their psychology and translate that into characters. Bringing them alive, giving them a voice is what I enjoy the most in the entire film making process. I am a huge reader, I love it, because it allows me to hone my imaginative skills and enhance my development tactics.

National Association of Latino Independent Producers NALIP (June 2015) : Worked at the HBO sponsored National
Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) as their associate volunteer staff under the guidance of Axel W.
Caballero and the project director Mr. Ben Lopez. Moderated an event for FOX for the special premiere screening of their
new animated series Bordertown with Lalo Alcaraz(Writer), Mark Hentemann(Creator) and Gustavo Arellano(Consulting

Graduate Assistant at Columbia College Chicago’s film and television department. (August 2014 – May 2015)
This position required me to teach a class of graduate students and discuss films from all around the globe. Duties
included: opening and closing of the screening room, making arrangements for the screening. Moderate the class in a
teaching capacity answering all the question/queries students may have regarding the film presented each week.
Graduate Assistant at Columbia College Chicago’s Center of Book and Paper Art. (October 2013 to May 2014)
This was an office position and responsibilities comprised of attending phone calls, managing database using
filemaker pro. The department had an art gallery in which occasional assistance was required. As a part of an
educational institution, one of the responsibilities was to enroll students for classes and answer their questions
related to their course work. Opening and locking the office and gallery and all the general administrative duties
and covering desk.
Standard and Practices at STAR TV INDIA : (December 2012 – July 2013)
Closely monitor American television series (fiction and nonfiction), movies, commercials, infomercials, disclaimers,
etc on the entire range of channels coming under the mother company i.e. Star TV India (No. 1 GEC Network).
Scrutinizing them (TV shows, Movies, etc), thus making it viable for family viewing following the censorship rules
made by the Broadcasting Content Complaints Council of India. Providing the editors with the editorial notes. Act as
an internal censor board of the TV Network within the standards and practices department in compliance with
business and legal department.
Assistant News Producer SAAM MARATHI NEWS CHANNEL (May 2011 - March 2012.)
Produced an entire entertainment news bulletin on a prime time slot. Produced a women oriented talk show and
interviewed a lot of Bollywood celebrities along with covering numerous entertainment events.
Journalism Internship CNN IBN7 (July 2009 – August 2009)
Administrative work along with assisting journalists with their shoots on numerous Bollywood movie sets allowing script
writing for news, shoot arrangements with actors, managing travel, and editing the news package.
