There are three age groups Upto 10 years - Kothai, 10 to15 years – Andal, 15 to 20 years
- Natchiar.
Any children of any school can participate in this
competition, forms are available in the temple.

Exnora Greater Chennai launches “Re-Greening Chen-
nai 2017” and “Green Campus” projects in the aftermath
of the destruction caused by Cyclone Vardah, which up-
rooted more than 1 lakh trees in Greater Chennai.
The Projects was inaugurated by Justice Dr. P. Jyothi-
mani, Judicial Member, National Green Tribunal, South-
ern Zone Chennai, by planting trees and free distribution
saplings to students at the Kanyaka Parameswari Arts
& Science College for Women (Audiappa Street, Parrys)
along with P.V. Krishna Rao, Correspondent, Dr. T. Moha-
na Shree, Principal, Dr. P.B.Vaneetha, V. Bhanu, L. Mad-
humitha (SKP College), R. Govindaraj, President, Anand
Laxman, Secretary, J. Fatheraj Jain, Dr. G. Vasundara
(Exnora Greater Chennai).
R. Govindaraj, President, Greater Chennai Exnora said
that throughout 2017 Exnora in coordination with Forest
Department and Greater Chennai Corporation has de-
cided to plant at least 12000 tree saplings within Edu-
cational institution premises, parks and residential areas
in Chennai and suburbs with the help of numerous Civic
Exnoras, Resident Welfare associations and general pub-
lic.
More than 500 students were participated in this
event and took oath to contribute to the Re-Greening ac-
tivity throughout the year.
