• Scheme for Early Attraction of Talent for Science (SEATS)
Preparing talented youth to be science aware and Citizen with
ambitions to be able to compete globally through professional
accomplishments.
• Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE)
Attracting gifted youth into higher enterprise education in science
intensive programmes, by providing guidance, mentoring and
scholarships to be budding researchers.
7. Execution of the Program
• Assured Opportunity in Research Career (AORC) Fellowships and
Faculty Awards
The Program envisages that about 20% the current annual enrolment
in total public funded research positions would be serviced by the
INSPIRE Scholars in future at 1000 positions per year.
Desires higher enrolment of industry in R&D with creation of higher
value employment for scientists leading to larger R&D base.

• Disadvantages
1. Scheme in practical has not been able to reflect upon its objective of
speeding up jobs in the research sector
2. Concerns in fund disbursal and complaints of harassment for so is
being noticed
3. Universities still hold to be considerable amount of seats in their own
rights and corruption is seen to be present.

12. INSPIRE Journey: Target Vs Achievement (2009-2015)
The data we are observing is of the year 2009 to 2015, and as per
reports 15.5 lakh students have actively enrolled to the programme.
For the year 2014-15 no. of students enrolled was 2.75 lakhs.
The expenditure of the government for this programme for 2009 to
2015 is up to 1763.7 crores.
Inspire has been able to achieve all its desired target for each
component.
