Americans are a unique mixture of cultures and culinary aficionados. There are many
things that we love about sushi, Chinese and Mexican cuisines as well as Italian
restaurants or designer coffees. We still buy the same staples we use for
decades. They can be found at every corner, in schools lunchrooms, and on the
streets.
This list isn't surprising, and it hasn't seen much evolution over the years . Let's take a
look at the Top Ten American Favorites Foods. (No veggies)
Since the opening day at the White Castle, our favorite food has been Hamburgers .
Hot Dogs are the all-American American cuisine
French Fries--I can't help but love French Fries
Oreo Cookies can be a nightmare for chocolate chip cookie fans
Pizza - While there are many toppings available, the basic recipe of pizza remains the
same.
Soft Drinks - We all drink soft drinks as a nation (not technically, but it's a meal).
Chicken Tenders: We know the origin of this fast-food chain!

Donuts are the breakfast of champions
Potato chips - our favorite snack food, hands down
Mac and cheese (yes Thomas Jefferson did it too)
Apple Pie – Apple Pie is a classic dessert that has been around hundreds of years.
Soft Drinks
Colas have maintained their status since the opening day for the first sod a fountain.
Lemon/Lime drinks: This fizzy lemonade has been available since the 1800s when
Americans discovered lemons.
Dr Pepper – Dr Pepper is still loved and appreciated by many. It was initially used as a
medicine tonic, much like cola.
Fruits:
Berries-eversince humans began picking wild berries out of woods (it's a tossup, some
surveys may suggest it's bananas or apples).

Bananas - no washing required
Grapes – Although prices may fluctuate, the quality of grapes can be exceptional,
especially if they have no seeds.
Veggies:
Broccoli: There are serious concerns about broccoli, but some surveys insist .
Corn - America's original vegetable, and still America's top choice
Potatoes - in large measure due to potato chips, French fries, and potato chips
Tomatoes: This is the base of ketchup. We love it!
Green beans are an excellent choice.
The top five are all chocolate-based.

America's obsession continues with chocolate. It is simply the continuation of
America’s love for chocolate.
Refreshing Mint Chocolate chip
Vanilla - so versatile, and the base of many sweets
Cookie Dough is a relative newcomer to vanilla, in comparison to the original vanilla
Seafood is a completely different category than the rest.
Shrimp, which is still the most beloved, would definitely be consumed more if it were
cheaper.
3. Salmon - Although it is not the most popular choice at bajasurfreshmex.com, salmon is
second.
Tuna - A favorite sandwich filling, just as delicious as dining out
Tilapia, despite its being "dirty", can still be made cheaply, is easy to make, light, and
it even has a name.
Cold Cereals are the best-selling products
Honey Nut and Plain Cheerios are both available
Frosted Flakes – sugar already added for older-timer cornflakes
Mini-Wheats, which are also made of shredded white bread, can be sugar-coated in
smaller amounts than the original.
Special K – Even though it's a "diet food", we still have the ability to fool ourselves if
no sugar is added.
