Check out this episode of Back to Basics where we demonstrate multiple camera slow motion at 1080p 60 fps. This is a fun tutorial where we raised almost $100 for Lemons For Leukemia and shared how we set up a multiple camera instant replay system with slow motion. Instant replay systems essentially record cameras to a hard drive so that the video footage is available for replay instantly. In our presentation, we used four 1080p cameras all set to stream and record at 60 frames per second. The vMix instant replay system works best when recording at 100 MBPs. That's 100 Megabits Per Second for each camera. So be very careful not to record instant replay video footage for too long or you will run out of hard drive space. If you plan on using your instant replay footage in slow motion frame rate becomes very important to preserve the quality of your broadcast. Since we normally broadcast in 1920x1080p video resolution at 30fps our main live stream includes 30 frames per second. Since our camera cameras and instant replay system is set to 60 frames per second we can slow the video down by 50% and still deliver a smooth 30 frames of video for our live broadcast. As you can see in our video you can also slow down the audio included in your instant replay.
