1. Dedicated ARTS PROFESSIONAL with versatile and extensive background in gallery
management, exhibit staging, communication, customer relations, PR, marketing and graphic
design.
• Trend Analysis: Reached out to broader audiences at Knox through recruitment of new artists who
became top sellers. As RE Manager was able, through study of the real estate market, to triple value of
family investments.
• Marketing & Promotions: Worked with Luxio magazine to write articles and develop new marketing
materials for Knox. Developed sales and marketing plans for Vineyard Selections. Acted as managing
editor/writer of a 20 page Partners’ publication, The Undiscovered Gifts of the Caribbean, and as PR
director of a campaign to draw media attention to the heritage projects featured.
• Artist and Customer Relations: Primary liaison for 65 internationally recognized artists and
sculptors at Knox. Extensive experience handling a variety of communication through various
channels ~ engaging with clientele, publishers and other vendors, and staff at multiple branches.
• Merchandizing: Expertise in creating an inviting environment where clients would want to return for
repeat purchases. Designed gallery exhibit space and installed paintings, etchings and bronze
sculptures for optimum visual appeal and maximum exposure of key pieces. Used same skills in RE
management to successfully remodel and lease fourplex in Port Townsend WA, and home in
Coupeville, WA with almost 0% vacancy rate since purchase in 2004.
• Operations Management and General Ledger: Discovered major pitfalls hidden in terms of
onerous lease that disallowed renegotiation with Writers Square. Oversaw large scale operation to
move outdoor sculptures, other art and fixtures to storage.
Currently responsible for management (rental and remodel) and budgeting/accounting for duplex in
Evergreen and the two above properties in WA.
• Sales and Inventory Management: Responsible at Knox for all sales calls and follow-up, email
communications with clients and artists, shipping, and keeping detailed records of inventory. Also
negotiated contract with vendors and did trouble shooting when internet, printer and lighting
difficulties occurred.
• Executive assistant experience handling personal affairs for management at Knox and DTI.
• Event Planning: Coordinated fundraiser hosted by PLP, Caribbean dignitaries and Holly Coors.
Organized conferences and meetings sponsored by the SAIS Latin American Studies Department.
• Staff Development/Training: Hired and trained several part time gallery associates and worked with
interns at non-profits. Proven talent for both being a team player and working autonomously.
• Advanced computer skills: Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Taking short course on
Social Media for Non Profits from Lynda.com and plan to acquire their certificate of completion (24
hour video learning path) entitled “Become a Graphic Designer.”
