Biography
Patty is a native of Jacksonville. Since graduating
from Nova University Law School in 1992, she has
successfully obtained justice for hundreds of injured
consumers on the First Coast. She helps people with
a wide variety of personal injury cases, and focuses
on medical malpractice, wrongful death,
insurance disputes, defective products, Will
contests and probate litigation.
Her previous positions as an Assistant State Attorney and legal counsel for insurance
companies have provided her with significant trial experience and a unique insider’s knowledge
of the insurance industry, which benefits her clients as she seeks justice on their behalf. Patty
has tried more than seventy jury trials in her legal career.
Patty is active in a number of legal organizations. She is past president of the Jacksonville
Women Lawyers Association where she still continues to hold leadership positions. She has
served on several professionalism committees of The Florida Bar and Jacksonville Bar
Associations.
Patty is also strongly committed to giving back to the community. She provides pro bono legal
counsel for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid (JALA), and has been an Adjunct Professor at the
Florida Coastal School of Law, where she coached the Mock Trial Teams and continues to
mentor young attorneys. She is a court-appointed surrogate parent who advocates for children
with educational and learning disabilities. Patty has also been nominated to serve on the Merit
Selection Panel for U.S. Magistrate Judge and the Indigent Services Advisory Committees.
While growing up with five brothers, Patty studied Music and Dance at Florida State University
and Jacksonville University before graduating from University of North Florida and going to law
school. She has maintained her life-long interest in the arts, and most recently volunteered as
Director of the 2009 Lawyer Variety Show that benefitted Jacksonville Area Legal Aid. Patty is
an avid golfer, horsewoman, and experienced skydiver. She is also active at Beach United
