Project Summary
Project # 3
Project Title : LifeScan Consumer - One touch reveal
Client : Johnson & Johnson
Vertical : Life sciences
Horizontal : Quality Engineering and Assurance (Automation)
Time Period : June2013 to Till Date
3. Scope: One touch reveal is a web application which records the blood glucose readings from blood glucose
monitoring devices like glucometers, pumps etc. on to the web. The access level of this web application is
provided for patients, Clinical managers and health care professionals with respective privileges. The
application not only just record the glucose level but also determine the criticality of such blood glucose
levels based on various time periods like overall, time of day, day of week etc. The patterns which are
calculated from algorithms are triggered on the reading table of the patient , hence providing patient tips
and suggestions based on the pattern of blood glucose level triggered. This project was also rolled out over
Mobile.
This application uses the inputs from the patients glucometer through a standalone JAVA based application –
“Data transfer tool (DTT)”. The testing scope deals with the functional web testing, Localization testing,
Device communication testing, data receiver testing, Data transfer tool Testing with the creation of Test
data.
Responsibilities:
Involved in Test Plan strategy and time line estimations for Automation execution.
Re using existing automation scripts for different geographic locations UK and France.
Dry run for existing automation scripts.
Test Script formal execution.
Worked on Impact Analysis for Manual Testing.
Preparing Test Scenarios for requirements within scope and out of scope.
Localization testing for different languages using PO file.
Test Data preparation for Glucometers.
Involved in Functionality testing and Formal V&V Testing.
Regression testing for existing test cases.
Tracking and reporting Defects in Quality Center and Jira.
Cross OS –Browser Testing.
Involved in Medical Devices OFF Testing.
Mobile Testing using the perfecto mobile application.
Test data creation based on the algorithms. Cracking the algorithms.
Project # 2
Project Title : CareLink Patient (CLP)
Client : Medtronic
Vertical : Life sciences
Horizontal : Quality Engineering and Assurance (Manual)
Time Period : July 2012 to June 2013
Scope: Carelink Patient (CLP) is a website developed using Microsoft .Net. CLP site is a ONE STOP Patient
Portal for patients implanted with Medtronic devices. This site allows setup delivery of notifications to patient
and their family and friends for:
Upcoming scheduled Carelink (CL) transmission appointments (upcoming with
disconnected monitors for wireless devices)
Successful CL transmissions
Missing a scheduled CL transmission appointment.
Thus allowing Clinicians to effectively communicate with their patients and save time by moving to modern
way of communication like emails and text messages (sms).
Responsibilities:
Requirements and Design Understanding
Creation of Requirement Analysis document.
Test Script Development and test script review.
Requirement Coverage in Quality center.
4. Traceability Matrix Creation.
Test Execution and Execution review in QC.
Usage of SQL 2008, WCF and Publisher tools as part of this engagement.
Project # 1
Project Title : Medtronic – Pulmonary Artery Hypertension (PAH)
Client : Medtronic
Vertical : Life sciences
Horizontal : Quality Engineering and Assurance (Automation)
Time Period : March 2012 to June 2012
Scope: For more than 20 years, Medtronic has produced innovative, implantable, programmable infusion
systems that precisely tailor dosing to meet individual patient needs. The Medtronic SynchroMed III pump is
part of the SynchroMed II programmable infusion system that stores and delivers pain medication into the
intrathecal space, according to instructions programmed by the clinician. The pump is connected to a thin,
flexible catheter, which is implanted under the skin. SynchroMed III is designed and used in the Nero
division.
PAH is a new device created for CRDM (Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management) division for new treatments
based on SM III with minor changes to the memory map and configuration.
Can be programmed using NGCP (Next Gen Clinical programmer)
Automation Test suite for PAH:
The existing SynchroMed II programmable infusion pump was configured at chip level to make it
work as PAH. The existing user interface is modified to suit the PAH Functionalities.
Automated Test suite for Sync Med II has been converted into a Suite that is suitable for PAH.
The existing Automation Test scripts are C# scripts working in association with the libraries that can interact
with the pumps internal memory as well as the User Interface simultaneously.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Requirement Analysis.
UIDD Design Analysis.
Creation/modification of existing C# Scripts to suite the functionality of PAH.
Executing Automated C# Scripts.
Defect Tracking.
Test data creation.
