Why I Chose To Study Abroad Program
I want to study abroad because I want to learn and explore in a different country. I realized that I wanted to study abroad around the time that I
started high school and I thought this might be the only chance I may get to travel outside of the country. I hope to gain more insight from this
amazing opportunity and taking classes would help me in my academics and eventually professional goals. Studying abroad would be a stepping
stone for me because while I would be taking classes that would help in my advancement in my field of study. I would also be in a country I could
learn more information about whether it be the history, the food, or exploring the beautiful places nearby.
When I started at Lesley University last fall I became really interested in finding out about the studying abroad program. Before I officially decided
where I wanted to study abroad my heart was set on going to England, but after I did some research I became fascinated with the summer program for
Florence, Italy. The program that I will be studying through would be Lorenzo Me 'dici: The Italian Institute they have a few different summer
programs and the one that stood out the most to me was the summer program 1. They had the classes that I would love to partake in and they have a
few excursions that are included such as Rome and Venice.
I was going to choose England or Ireland, but when I went to meet with the study abroad advisor I realized that I was open to other options. When she

When traveling, outside of the United States, you will need a passport. You might also need visas depending on the country you are visiting. You
may also want to think about investing in insurance for the goods you are bringing with you. This will help you if something is lost, stolen or
ruined. (General Information, 2004). You will need to bring enough money to cover the expenses you plan to occur, and extra in case of an

Advantages to Studying Abroad
Education is a never–ending learning process that has always been a piece of our life. As education is a building block in our lives, we are eager to
put profoundly into our education. Good education will lead us to the bright future. With the fast advancement of public opinion, we have entered an
era of information explosion which the necessity of studying abroad has turned into a developing pattern among youth. Most of the students feel that
studying abroad is better than studying in local universities. As the saying goes, "the grass always looks greener on the other side of fence." In this
way, I believe that considering abroad have extraordinary points of benefits.
First and foremost, from personal angle, study abroad enables students to achieve high level of maturity and independence very quick. This is because
they are being away from their support network like families. It may seem daunting but in the other hand it is actually a precious chance for the
students to sharp their own skill and gain some independence. For instance, they have to buy the groceries by themselves which maybe it is their first
time doing so. Students also have to deal with many problems when they study abroad like adapting to the new environments and lifestyle. So from
here, they have learnt how to deal with problems. Apart from that, study abroad may also rapidly advance the student's language skills especially
English. Being surrounded with the native speaker and people that don't speak the

Why Do People Go Abroad Essay
Good morning Everyone I'm Jonathan Mislang and I choose topic Why people go Abroad.
Going abroad seems to be part of everyone's to–do–lists. Afterall, visiting or living abroad is an adventure of a lifetime. You go to an alien place, with
different people and culture. You get to experience new things–unfamiliar places, exotic food, and much more. Everyone has different reasons for
travelling out of the country. What's the most common reason why people go abroad though? It depends on the group of people you're asking.
For the youth, various reasons can be tied to travelling to another country. For one, most young people travel while they are in their 20s to get out of
their comfort zone. They want to get a fresh view of the world and gain firsthand experience of what's it like in the "real world." This is
understandable since, after studying for the longest time, young people are set to question their purpose. You typically hear fresh college graduates
ask themselves, "What do I do now?" the truth is, they have no idea of what it's like to be "out in the open." Young people are often shocked with the
thousand responsibilities they face...show more content...
Why study abroad, one might ask? There are a lot of benefits of studying abroad. A different culture means a different mindset and a new school
system, which may challenge them to do better in their studies. Being in a foreign school also presents a lot of work opportunities after. This is true
for most developing countries. Being accepted to Ivy League schools in developed countries like US or Germany presents countless offers and
windows of opportunity in the far future. At this present age, being able to adapt to the high standards of globalization is a key aspect to being
successful. For the youth, travelling abroad to pursue their studies is a perfect avenue to develop their skills, immerse in a second (or even third)
language, and observe cultural

Second, South Korea has a great quality of education system that already been applied in the country. According to the 2016 World Best Education

Why Students Should Study Abroad Essay
Education gives the ability and flexibility to engage in many opportunities during life. Peter Gray, a research professor and an author for Psychology
Today, shares that from the beginning, education was given to children through exploring and learning from one's own mistakes. Society today sets
apart buildings, schools, and universities giving a more in depth education to children and adults instead of allowing them to learn from them and
nature. Today, the many different methods of educating students include, classroomlearning, homeschooling, online learning, and studying abroad.
Each method uniquely shapes and teaches students differently. Studying abroad and classroom learning, especially in America, hold factors proving
beneficial to those pursuing their education.
One reason why students should study abroad is because of academic opportunities the experience provides. Studying abroad allows them to explore
and learn from themselves; in addition to, they also learn in a traditional classroom environment. The Texas A&M Univeristy of Kingsville article,
"Reasons to study abroad," acknowledges that going overseas while unfamiliar with a country 's location, culture, and language, forces the overseas
learner to adapt to their environment. This helps the learner become more independent and develop better language skills. Many employers,
universities, and colleges look for these attributes when individuals apply. Colleges notice the transcripts of applicants understanding

class regularly and study clearly. At the university, students should be required to attend class. Others believe that going to class should be optional for

First, you can get a high result in study. As you can see, regular study will make us learn a lot of knowledge and when you have a difficult in the
study you can ask your teacher clearly. When you attend to class everyday, you can study better, get high marks and pass the examination easer then

International Students Essay example
Differences between American Students and International Students Most young people believe that studying in a different country is a privilege
because they are able to experience other cultures, and learn from them. However, in the United States it is not as good as they thought because
International students have much more pressure being in this country, and sometimes they cannot handle it very well. Therefore, in theUnited States the
life of an international student is very unfavorable if people compare it to the life of an American student. International students have to learn a new
language to study, they cannot work while studying, and their tuition is much more expensive. When people moves to the United Stated to study they

They know their structure and have a very superior vocabulary, so they can compose excellent essays. In addition, since American students speak
English very well, they do not have any problem participating in class. They have confidence in themselves, so they will not be afraid of saying
something wrong. Consequently, because American students do not have to learn any language to study their mayor, it is much easier for them to
achieve excellent grades. Most university students feel the necessity of working since they would like to have their own money in order to be
independent from their parents. It is not the exception for International students because they also feel the necessity of working to be independent
from their parents or whoever is responsible for them. However, for international students to work in the United States it is very difficult because
they are only allowed to work on campus. These kinds of jobs are very limited since some of the campuses in which they study are very small. Also for
an international student to find a job on campus is difficult because people prefer to employee an American student who is not going to have any
problem speaking the language. For example, last semester a friend from Venezuela who is studying at Miami Dade College decided that he wanted
to get a job in order to have his own money. He went to

Persuasive Speech On Studying Abroad
If you have ever questioned whether you should study abroad or not, don't think about it anymore.
Although I am just another senior Mexican student, I have the responsibility of telling you this because for my sophomore year of high school it took
me a whole year, plus listening to more than a million different perspectives from my whole family, my friends and their friends, and even from my
aunt's friend of a friend, to decide that I was leaving.
So now that I am back, and I can see everything from a different outlook, the only words that I have to say are: Studying abroad was the best
experience that I have ever had in my life... so far. But if you are still questioning whether or not to study abroad, I have seven reasons to convince you,

remarkable things, and live a unique dream. The opportunity only comes once in a lifetime. You will never regret leaving, but you will possibly regret
not leaving. So just do it, and when you return, come and thank

Have you ever thought to travel, face a different culture and practice your freedom? Can you imagine how enjoyable it is to study in a foreign
university? The idea of studying abroad is a dream for most of the students because they want to experience a new style of education. In fact the world
is moving towards internationalization and globalization and education is recognized as vital to the future of any society in today's world. While some
people think it cost a lot to study abroad and they will have a gap of languages and cultures, I believe students should study abroad rather than studying
in their own country in order to take the benefits such as knowing another culture, learning invaluable life lessons and enhancing employment
opportunities in the future. Firstly, experiencing a new culture is the very first thing that comes into our minds while thinking to study abroad. In
today's world diplomatic situation, nations should be trying to make a good connection with each other to have a peaceful world and that is only
possible to understand each other. Studying abroad provides the opportunity of getting familiar with each other's cultures and languages. And the more

Why Should We Study Abroad?
In the article Passport to Knowledge, the author writes that studying abroad changes you into a different person (Gaines, 40). But how much can
someone learn from working on their college degree from another continent instead of staying at home in the United States? After all, the idea of
study abroad seems so wonderfully terrifying to most any college student. Many emerging adults are mentally burdened by a burning desire to
explore and travel, but there is almost always more behind the desire than just seeing what there is to see around the world. It's important for students
to study abroad, at least, one year of their college experience in order to grow and change into open minded people. Studying abroad gives students a
better worldview, engage in creative problem solving, and develop a better sense of self. Students' lives are changed, and definitely for the better.
When a student goes abroad to study, they are doing more than just learning in another country, they are building a better version of themselves.
Students who go abroad gain a new worldview because they are opened up to the perspectives of other cultures. These students will often develop
new ways of solving problems based on the creativity and experience from their travels. Above all else, those who choose to study outside of the
United States, or a culture much like America, will begin to understand and develop their own sense of who they are culturally, socially, and
emotionally. The advantages of

The Importance Of Studying Abroad Essay

derived, the difficulties and the advantages to be gained from studying in other countries. Importance of Study Abroad Firstly study abroad is an
important period in the life of anyone. It contains a lot of self–exposure, experience and personal development. This has an effect on students because
normally people from around the world come to a place with different cultures and different types of thoughts which cause difficulties at first. When
two cultures study together discover new methods of study and research and have a beautiful and incredible experience. Therefore, it is useful for the
whole world and not for one country, so the whole world can walk together in all areas of daily life. When they talk to each other, they get to know

with other people different from you. Outside of the studio, is an adventure full of experiensas, living and studying outside your hometown can be full

Pros and Cons of Studying Abroad Essay
Study Abroad
Studying abroad is an act whereby students move to different countries other than their own to pursue education opportunities. Education of this form
can be primary, secondary or tertiary levels. Education has taken tremendous leaps over the years. It has experienced significant changes and
advancements. Because of these changes, many people are increasingly becoming educated. Education has also reached the far corners of the world
and more people are attaining it. In the present day, countries strive to become more and more developed. For this reason there is an increasing need
for better education. Societies with advanced education systems and many educated people attain growth and development rapidly. For this reason,

It is said that education in the west provides practicability and prepares people to educate themselves in life. Studying abroad goes beyond academic
fulfillment. It exposes people to a different worldviews altogether. People learn many things in different countries. Studying abroad exposes people to
different cultures. It teaches about different cultural practices such as rites, rituals and relations. It helps people appreciate these different cultures, as
well. It also educates about different ways of living for example the foods people eat and pass–time activities in which they involve themselves.
Studying abroad also helps to promote inter–cultural relations and communications (Deardorff 253). It also helps people learn different languages.
Another merit for studying abroad is that it enriches someone with knowledge and inter–cultural communication skills that one can apply in their home
country. When people study abroad and return to their home countries, they are able to improve their societies with their acquired knowledge and
they are also able to relate and work well with foreign people in their countries. Another reason why people seek to study abroad is to attain part time
job opportunities even as they pursue their studies. This earns them incomes that they can save or spend for their personal development. People also
involve themselves in volunteer work as part of the process of learning new work relations, inter–cultural

I discovered a love for art history my freshman year in an honors course with Dr. Esther Sparks. She was so passionate about art history and her
students. Dr. Sparks painted such a vivid picture of the history behind the art, its importance and significance. When considering study abroad
locations, because of the class I took on a whim and Dr. Sparks whom I adored, I knew I wanted to travel somewhere with rich history, culture, art,
and architecture. On every street corner of Florence, Italy, stands some piece of history; therefore, I have chosen this location for my study abroad
experience. I am completely awestruck by not only the beauty of these masterpieces, but by the stories they hold. I find myself daydreaming of the
people who created these magnificent structures, who they were, and what they thought of themselves and their creations. My goal is to immerse
myself in the culture and absorb as much knowledge and understanding of Italian history and traditions as I possibly can so that I may, in turn, become
a more well rounded individual.

Poverty condition is always there Migration is the way to help reduce the poverty, even though in many cases it does not radically improve people's

There are three household structure form of refugees: the first is nuclear type of rural households, it was effective to develop different livelihood

It it very surprise to get to know that when students are supposed to find a random topic to make a 10 minutes presentation, about в…” people
choose the topic: 'If I have chance, I would like to back to China', 'The disadvantage of study abroad', 'Nobody cares H1B' etc. It gave me a great
shock of that. I am the international students as well, but I never ever regret for my decision that studying abroad. I talked to them afterwards, and most
of them didn't feel comfortable here, they always got the unfair treatment and they strongly believes if they can learn the new things all in Chinese, they
will learn better. Another important reason that everyone mentioned is they are all in the homesick. Stress work and new language living environment
made them stressful, it is hard for them to make new friends just because you are not the native speaker or white skin, they can talked to people with
the same language, but international students are always in the limited number. Therefore, almost all of them don't care about H1B or other internship,
working opportunities in United States, they just would like to fly back once they graduate. Some of them even want to transfer the college/university
to an Asian country within these years. It is easy to find that, the most severe problem for international students is the skin color and language problem.
Because of these barrier, they feel like they cannot make friends easily, they cannot listen and understand what professor said clearly even they didn't
understand whether the foreigner curse them or not. One of the students shared one story with me about his exam experience. It is one typical example
of discrimination on races. He told me that he always seats with his chinese friends together no

  • 3. Why I Chose To Study Abroad Program I want to study abroad because I want to learn and explore in a different country. I realized that I wanted to study abroad around the time that I started high school and I thought this might be the only chance I may get to travel outside of the country. I hope to gain more insight from this amazing opportunity and taking classes would help me in my academics and eventually professional goals. Studying abroad would be a stepping stone for me because while I would be taking classes that would help in my advancement in my field of study. I would also be in a country I could learn more information about whether it be the history, the food, or exploring the beautiful places nearby. When I started at Lesley University last fall I became really interested in finding out about the studying abroad program. Before I officially decided where I wanted to study abroad my heart was set on going to England, but after I did some research I became fascinated with the summer program for Florence, Italy. The program that I will be studying through would be Lorenzo Me 'dici: The Italian Institute they have a few different summer programs and the one that stood out the most to me was the summer program 1. They had the classes that I would love to partake in and they have a few excursions that are included such as Rome and Venice. I was going to choose England or Ireland, but when I went to meet with the study abroad advisor I realized that I was open to other options. When she Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 8. Why Students Should Study Abroad Essay Education gives the ability and flexibility to engage in many opportunities during life. Peter Gray, a research professor and an author for Psychology Today, shares that from the beginning, education was given to children through exploring and learning from one's own mistakes. Society today sets apart buildings, schools, and universities giving a more in depth education to children and adults instead of allowing them to learn from them and nature. Today, the many different methods of educating students include, classroomlearning, homeschooling, online learning, and studying abroad. Each method uniquely shapes and teaches students differently. Studying abroad and classroom learning, especially in America, hold factors proving beneficial to those pursuing their education. One reason why students should study abroad is because of academic opportunities the experience provides. Studying abroad allows them to explore and learn from themselves; in addition to, they also learn in a traditional classroom environment. The Texas A&M Univeristy of Kingsville article, "Reasons to study abroad," acknowledges that going overseas while unfamiliar with a country 's location, culture, and language, forces the overseas learner to adapt to their environment. This helps the learner become more independent and develop better language skills. Many employers, universities, and colleges look for these attributes when individuals apply. International Students Essay example Differences between American Students and International Students Most young people believe that studying in a different country is a privilege because they are able to experience other cultures, and learn from them. However, in the United States it is not as good as they thought because International students have much more pressure being in this country, and sometimes they cannot handle it very well. Most university students feel the necessity of working since they would like to have their own money in order to be independent from their parents. It is not the exception for International students because they also feel the necessity of working to be independent from their parents or whoever is responsible for them. However, for international students to work in the United States it is very difficult because they are only allowed to work on campus. The idea of studying abroad is a dream for most of the students because they want to experience a new style of education. In fact the world is moving towards internationalization and globalization and education is recognized as vital to the future of any society in today's world. • 14. Why Should We Study Abroad? In the article Passport to Knowledge, the author writes that studying abroad changes you into a different person (Gaines, 40). But how much can someone learn from working on their college degree from another continent instead of staying at home in the United States? After all, the idea of study abroad seems so wonderfully terrifying to most any college student. Many emerging adults are mentally burdened by a burning desire to explore and travel, but there is almost always more behind the desire than just seeing what there is to see around the world. It's important for students to study abroad, at least, one year of their college experience in order to grow and change into open minded people. Studying abroad gives students a better worldview, engage in creative problem solving, and develop a better sense of self. Students' lives are changed, and definitely for the better. When a student goes abroad to study, they are doing more than just learning in another country, they are building a better version of themselves. Students who go abroad gain a new worldview because they are opened up to the perspectives of other cultures. These students will often develop new ways of solving problems based on the creativity and experience from their travels. Above all else, those who choose to study outside of the United States, or a culture much like America, will begin to understand and develop their own sense of who they are culturally, socially, and emotionally. Dr. Sparks painted such a vivid picture of the history behind the art, its importance and significance. When considering study abroad locations, because of the class I took on a whim and Dr. Sparks whom I adored, I knew I wanted to travel somewhere with rich history, culture, art, and architecture. On every street corner of Florence, Italy, stands some piece of history; therefore, I have chosen this location for my study abroad experience. I am completely awestruck by not only the beauty of these masterpieces, but by the stories they hold. I find myself daydreaming of the people who created these magnificent structures, who they were, and what they thought of themselves and their creations. My goal is to immerse myself in the culture and absorb as much knowledge and understanding of Italian history and traditions as I possibly can so that I may, in turn, become a more well rounded individual. I am the international students as well, but I never ever regret for my decision that studying abroad. I talked to them afterwards, and most of them didn't feel comfortable here, they always got the unfair treatment and they strongly believes if they can learn the new things all in Chinese, they will learn better. Another important reason that everyone mentioned is they are all in the homesick. Stress work and new language living environment made them stressful, it is hard for them to make new friends just because you are not the native speaker or white skin, they can talked to people with the same language, but international students are always in the limited number. Therefore, almost all of them don't care about H1B or other internship, working opportunities in United States, they just would like to fly back once they graduate. Some of them even want to transfer the college/university to an Asian country within these years.
