could take on any assignment given to me and meet all the written requirements, but I also know that I haven't had a helpful writing class since 11th

My Life As A College Student Essay
Over the course of the last semester, I grew tremendously, not just as a writer but as a student. I learned skills and tactics that will last me
throughout my life and will benefit me once I begin the next four years of my life as a college student. This early gateway into college writing

I can remember seeing that I had to take an English class my first semester of college. I was already overwhelmed with starting college, and having

My Experience In A College Class
"Welcome Class to Composition one." Those words were voiced by my professor, Mrs. Robinson, on the first day of school. Initially, I thought to
myself, do I even belong in this college course class. Before school had even begun, the stress over the summer about my English skills was eating
me alive. Why? Well, in my past English classes I received A's on all of my essays, but this college class did not seem so easy. Also, I was always
fascinated by all the arts and sciences, but English never struck interest in me. I never thought that I could write any decent essays. The reason I

We arrived at Oneonta College and the first thing I see is SNOW!!! This tells me that the temperature up here is cooler then the temperature in
Brooklyn. The appearance of the school seemed pretty quiet and small, which is an advantage towards Binghamton. When we entered a young man
who has graduated from Oneonta and now works there explained to us about admissions, programs, and life on and around Oneonta College. Our tour
guidance at Oneonta was a junior name Alexis who majored in education and biology so far in the school. The first area she showed us was the diner
area which was smaller than the lunch space in Binghamton but it was cozy and comfortable. Next were the classrooms which some can fit up to 300
students and some were made for smaller classes such as 17 students to 1 instructor. Classroom setups are similar to Binghamton but seeming that
Binghamton has more space the classroom sizes may decrease. Oneonta's majors are also similar to Binghamton, but this college seems to put more
effort into education majors which is another advantage. Lastly, Alexis showed us the dorm rooms which were very short in height but made up in
length and width. The rooms were smaller and less spacious as the ones in Binghamton, but they were cozy and comfortable enough to live in. The

I first came to the university during spring break of my junior year of high school. At the time I was just visiting the three main universities in
Arizona so that I would be able to make an educated decision as to where I wanted to get my college education. There were many events showing me

Over the course of this semester I learned a lot about myself as a writer. This English 101 class has really allowed me to expand my essay structure

The most important improvement for me in this course was on my grammar. I was not aware of the comma rules before. It was shocking to see
where commas are to be put and the places that I usually miss. The Hacker lessons we did in and out of class on commas have improved my
grammar significantly. Looking back through all of my graded essays it is unbelievable how many commas I have actually missed. Also, writing
the essays in MLA format and including work cited entries and quotations, has helped me become more comfortable with it. When I write essays
now, I do not hesitate or get anxious if I have to add a work cited entry. However, even though I have know a little bit more of when to use commas
and have a little bit more knowledge about grammar there is still a lot of room for improvement. Some areas where I need to improve include
transitions between paragraphs, being to repetitive, and my conclusions. This class has definitely helped me make my transitions better; however they
still could use some improvement. I have to make sure that the reader can comprehend my thought process and that my transitions do not get in the
way of the flow of the paper. In some of the rough drafts for my essays I could not find links between paragraphs at all but after work shopping in class
I believe that they have significantly improved. I also need to make sure that I do not repeat the same ideas or words too many

students with ADD, and those students who are given more than the allotted time to take these tests. Many students have anxiety problems when it
comes time to taking even just regular tests. The SAT is not just a regular psychologytest that you can study, make note cards, and memorize for. It is
a combination of academic ideas, and the pressure of getting a high score to be accepted into a college doesn't lessen the anxiety. John Katzman,
president and founder of the Princeton review, wrote a letter about the anxiety of the SAT and how "Students are anxious not because we rile them up

My experience with my academic writing it comes from the past years in different classes, that I have taken here in Texas Tech University. I have
taken some couple classes in the science department, a law class. In my law class I had to write an academic paper, explain the different types a law
that will apply in a wind energy industry. This academic writing was done in the law class, but that was different from English class. The writing in
the science class was little bit like the writing that was done in English 1301 at South Plains. My experience in the class was to compare and
summaries article that was chosen by the professor. In this class, it helps me to improve my writing skills little bit more that my high school English.
One of my weaknesses in writing is my grammar, that I will go in depth by going to the writing center and other helpful resources. In 1302 I will
learn more in depth how to write a research paper, so that I can go more in depth on my work and can use all the different sources on an essay
paper. Me intend to build my strength to get better on my grammar is to make sure that I read aloud for my research or argument paper that will be
