Additional Activities
Event director (2nd
year) for the Bluegrass Cycling Club’s Horsey Hundred, an
annual 2-day cycling event involving 2,500 cyclists from 37 states and over 250
volunteers. As event director, I develop and manage the event budget, coordinate
and direct a 30 person planning team year-round, and work with local officials
including mayors, councils, fiscal courts, police departments and emergency
management services in planning and executing the event.
Provide pro bono assistance for nonprofit organizations, including drafting and
filing corporate documents and preparing and submitting applications for tax
exemption with the Internal Revenue Service.
Coordinate and organize the Kentucky Century Challenge, a collaborative effort
among 4 cycling events in Kentucky, and Pedaling for a Purpose, a collaborative
cycling-related charitable program presented by the Bluegrass Cycling Club and
West 6th
Brewery.
