Owner/Coach/Founder of KEPacademy.
Marital and Family status:
Single with no children. My parents live in the north side of Iceland. My father is a
lawyer and run his own firm and my mother is a director of a dental company and
flight school. My sister currently studies archaeology in Stockholm University and
lives in Stockholm.
2. Education:
I graduated from Akureyri Junior Collage in 2006. There I specialized in sports and
sociology and played for K.A. before I got badly injured when I was 16 years old. I
never recovered fully and went into coaching full force.
Then I studied law for one year at Akureyri University and after that year I moved to
Reykjavík to study Sport Science. I graduated 2010 from Reykjavík University with
BSc in Sport Science.
Then I studied psychology for one year at the University of Iceland before I went
back to Reykjavík University to finish my Master degree in Sport Science in 2014. In
my studies in Sport Science I specialised in elite coaching and football was my
subject. Did internship with the national team´s, both senior and youth teams. Went to
Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, England, and Scotland to study
coaching and player development.
Education as a Football (soccer) Coach:
I have UEFA A Diploma. I have also gone to various clubs abroad to gain extra
experience and to broaden my perspective of coaching. I was the youngest coach to
receive this degree in Iceland.
I have been to UEFA study scheme in Finland 2009 and Holland 2013.
Career as a coach:
2002 - 2007: K.A. (FC Akureyri) Coached both women and men teams from U-8 to
U-15. In charge of academy and player development. Player for the club for 5 years
and went through the academy there.
2007 - 2013: FC Stjarnan Assistant manager at the women´s senior team. Coached
U-12 to 17 women´s team and in charge of Academy (10-14 years old) for 3 years.
Coach at U-8, U-10 and U-13 men´s team.
2008 - 2011: KAÍ (Icelandic soccer academy) Soccer academy in Iceland, which
develops players from 10-16 years old. Offer training for both girls and boys.
2012 - : KEPacademy is personalised training for young talented football players. I
am the owner and founder of this academy. We have had over 100 players go through
our program and it is very popular. We have not been able to fulfil demand for players
3. who want to attend, so we have been selecting the best one´s in the country for our
academy. We offer personalised football training, strength & conditioning training,
nutrition, sports psychology, goal setting, speed & power training, match analysis and
much more for players who want to succeed in football.

2013 - : KR Reykjavík Head coach of the U-17 men´s team and co-talent
development coordinator. Also head coach of U-13 men´s team at the club.
