This document summarizes several biblical stories of figures who cried out to God during times of need, including David, Job, Samson, Jonah, ravens, and a blind man. It encourages readers that no matter who they are, if they cry out to God in truth, He will answer them as He is near to all who call on Him. Jesus Christ is described as the only God who will answer people's cries.
2. This is the God word which was
delivered during the
Good News Festival.
(convention held on
June 19th 2016,
evening 6 p.m.).
3. David was the king of Israel. He is the eighth son born to
Jesse, the priest. His three elder brothers were working in the
kings army, while David was a shepherd boy. Time came when
God lifted David to be the king of Israel.
David knowing who God is, he says to the people of Israel, I
will cry unto my God, most high, who has done everything for
me.
Our Lord JESUS CHRIST is the same
yesterday, today and forever.
4. DAVID CRIED UNTO GOD
Psalm 57 : 2
I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all
things for me.
WHY SHOULD ONE CRY TO GOD ?
Because He is good, and He does good to His people.
Psalm 119 : 68
Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
5. JOB CRIED UNTO MAN
Once there lived a richest and greatest man of all the men in
the East. His name is Job. He was perfect, righteous and god
fearing man. Once he was tempted by satan, he lost his sons,
daughters and all his wealth. That time he called unto his
servants and all those who knew him, but no one answered.
Today the world is like this, only if you have power, authority,
money, wealth and if you call others for help, they will come to
help you.
6. Job 19 : 15, 16
They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a
stranger: I am an alien in their sight.
I called my servant, and he gave me no answer; I intreated
him with my mouth.
But God is not like man. Rich or poor, educated or illiterate,
black or white, whoever you may be, anywhere, any situation,
any time if you call unto God, He will answer you in times of
affliction.
Psalm 22 : 24
For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the
afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he
cried unto him, he heard.
7. SAMSON CRIED UNTO GOD
Samson was a mighty warrior, powerful and God anointed
person. When he was dying for thirst, he cried unto God and
God answered him.
Judges 15 : 18,19
And he was sore athirst, and called on the Lord, and said,
Thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy
servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of
the uncircumcised?
But God clave an hollow place that was in the jaw, and there
came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came
again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name thereof
Enhakkore, which is in Lehi unto this day.
8. JONAH CRIED UNTO GOD
We go to churches, prayer halls, meditation centres and
comfortable places and cry unto God. But Jonah was a Gods
man, he cried unto God from the belly of the fish, it was not a
comfortable place, it was filled with all dirts, but still God
answered him.
Jonah 2 : 1,2
Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish's
belly,
And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord,
and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou
heardest my voice.
9. RAVENS CRIED UNTO GOD
God answers all those who cry unto Him. The young ones of
the ravens cry unto God for their food and also the beast in
the forest.
Job 38 : 41
Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones
cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.
Psalm 147 : 9
He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which
cry.
10. Psalm 145 : 18
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that
call upon him in truth.
Psalm 107 : 19, 20
Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth
them out of their distresses.
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from
their destructions.
11. BLIND MAN CRIED UNTO GOD
As it is written in the above passage, God is near unto them
who call Him truthfully. Likewise, there was a blind man who
cried unto Jesus to have mercy on him. God heard his cry,
came near him and healed him.
Luke 18 : 36-38, 43
And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on
me.
And immediately he received his sight, and followed him,
glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave
praise unto God.
12. Whether you are a King(David), a mighty warrior(Samson),
gods servant(Jonah), birds(ravens) or animals(beast), blind
man or anyone on this earth, they must cry unto God for all
their needs whatever it may.
JESUS CHRIST is the only God who will answer us.
AMEN
GLORY TO GOD.
