Production possibility frontiers show the maximum combinations of goods and services an economy can produce with limited resources. A PPF curve shows the trade-offs an economy faces between devoting resources to one good versus another. If an economy operates inside its PPF, resources are not being fully utilized; if outside the curve, full employment is not possible given available resources.
