 Except for some 50 MW wind farms, only small scale sustainability
initiatives taken in Pakistan, and no holistic initiative has been taken
for large scale Renewable Energy development
 Karachi, the largest city of Pakistan with a population of approx. 20
M people is facing the worst impacts of the Energy crisis
 DHA City Karachi (DCK) is the 1st ever large scale sustainable urban
development project utilizing 30% Renewable Energy i.e. 150 MW
 DCK is targeted to be a landmark urban development with a high
quality of living for 600,000 residents and to serve as a model
sustainable Pakistani city of the 21st century
