FUELING YOUR BUSINESS FOR SUCCESS
AUTOMATEDVEHICLE
IDENTIFICATION FOR FUELLING
Orpak’s ForeFuel automated vehicle identification (AVI)
system powers simple and secure refueling of millions of
vehicles worldwide, with clear and measurable value to both
oil companies and commercial fleets. A small and easy to
install RFID unit next to the fuel inlet enables payment when
the nozzle is inserted into the inlet.
Field Proven - Market Leader
Orpak’s expertise is unrivaled with over 5.5 million AVI
vehicles and over 13,000 AVI stations.
Orpak’s 4th generation technology offers unmatched
simplicity, security and scalability.
World’s leader
Orpak pioneered AVI fueling systems and still leads in
market deployments and expertise. Its patented technology
sets the standard in terms of functionality and value.
Loyalty Driver
Using ForeFuel, value-added services can be offered to grow
fleet loyalty, tying fueling to certain service stations. RFID
fueling is quick and simple and there is no need for cards.
Simple and seamless deployment
Quickly add ForeFuel to the forecourt; it wirelessly integrates
with existing software and hardware. ForeFuel is made for
mass deployment.
Significant savings and security for fleets
Orpak's solution reduces misuse and fuel expenses, and
insures better fuel management.
Unmatched loyalty for oil companies, maximum savings for fleets
Oil Companies use ForeFuel to offer the simplest refueling experience: put the
nozzle in the car, get authorization and begin fuelling, without any of the hassle
or security issues associated with fuel cards. Using Orpak’s AVI for fueling
ensures loyalty and increases sales volume through repeat visits.
Increases loyalty and sales volume as it binds fleets to select oil stations
Brings clear value to their fleet customers – reducing fleet expenses and
improving control
Allows oil companies to offer value added fleet fuel management services to
their customers, generating additional revenue and strengthening their
brand image
Integrates fully with Orpak’s ForeSite retail site management and its ForeNet
network management
Fleets use ForeFuel to reduce costs associated with fraud and unnecessary
fueling regardless of whether fuelling occurs at their own sites or in retail
stations. Using AVI controls the distribution of fuel and significantly increases
fleet efficiency.
Saves fuel expenses and reduces fraud by fueling only authorized vehicles
Easily controls, tracks and manages fleet consumption and refueling activity
with alerts on irregular fueling or abnormal consumption patterns
Obtains Odometer and engine hour readings and additional vehicle
information for effective fleet maintenance and safety
Fully integrates with Orpak’s ForeHB homebase management solutions and
fleet management solutions
ForeFuel is an automated vehicle identification (AVI) solution
where the vehicle itself is the means of payment, recognized
through an RFID unit installed next to the inlet, identifying
the vehicle an authorizing payment. The result is fast
refueling with no need for cash, card or coupon payment.
ForeFuel ensures that fuel only goes to the authorized
vehicle whose account should be charged. Removing the
nozzle and trying to fuel another vehicle immediately
suspends fueling activity.
Deployment is simple, as the vehicle elements are designed
to take minutes to install, with simple station installation.
ForeFuel is superior to fleet card / fuel card payment as it
creates clear value to both the fuel retailers as well as the
fleet managers, by creating a tie-in to the station and a
superior service experience.

Passive RFID tags:
Orpak’s tags consist of a secure chip that includes the
encrypted identification / payment information. Tags are
installed next to the fuel inlet and read by the Nozzle
reader when the fueling nozzle is inserted into the tank.
NanOpass:
An innovative, passive RFID vehicle
identification tag, with no need for
ring antennas around the fuel inlet.
The NanOpass is ideal for light
vehicles, enabling deployment in tens of thousands of
vehicles and more. It contains an RFID chip and antenna in
one compact unit and includes sophisticated, patented
security mechanisms and data encryption.
FuelOpass:
The FuelOpass is Orpak’s high runner
vehicle identification device for heavy
vehicles, with a patented removal
protection mechanism and a variety of
ring types to fit any vehicle and fuel
inlet.
WGT:
The Orpak WGT covers the entire
forecourt and connects ForeFuel
components, securely forwarding the
data to the Station Controller.
Its mesh topology and robust and reliable network ensures
the highest availability and is resistant to interferences or
obstacles.
Data Pass:
An optional miniature transmitter that
connects to the vehicle’s on-board
computer. Collected data includes
odometer and engine hour readings, fuel
consumption, driver behavior and diagnostic error codes.
DataPass automatically uploads data while refueling,
eliminating operational costs. Data is uploaded to the
ForeFleet and the ForeNet Fleet Head Office servers, for
analysis and reporting.
• µDataPass - a plug-&-play unit for light and commercial
vehicles that connects directly to the OBD-II connector.
• DataPass - for heavy vehicles and trucks, connects
directly to the vehicle bus or to a J1939/J1708 Deutsch
9-pin connector.
Nozzle Reader:
The nano Nozzle Reader (nNR) reads
Orpak’s RFID tags using contactless
technology. It then uploads the
encrypted data over Orpak’s wireless
mesh network to the station’s
automation systems for refueling authorization.
Designed to withstand harsh environments, this compact
self-contained unit fits directly onto the fueling nozzle and
requires no wiring or external power source. With a
universal installation kit that fits all common fueling
nozzles and clean industrial design that seamlessly blends
into the fuel dispenser. The nNR is a secure device,
tamper-protected by a dedicated mechanism that detects
unauthorized removal, deactivating the unit.
