This document describes an ultrafiltration system for purifying sea and brackish water. The system comes as a plug-and-play modular package that can be installed quickly in 20 or 40 foot containers. It uses ultrafiltration membranes to remove particulates and macromolecules from raw water to produce potable water. The package includes the full ultrafiltration plant, electrical controls, and monitoring equipment. It can also be integrated with additional treatments like reverse osmosis.

3. ULTRAFILTRATION
Ultrafiltration can be used for the removal of particu-
lates and macromolecules from raw water to produce
potable water.They have been used to either replace
existing secondary (coagulation, flocculation,
sedimentation) and tertiary filtration (sand filtration
and chlorination) systems employed in water treat-
ment plants or as standalone systems in isolated
regions with growing populations.When treating water
with high suspended solids, UF is often integrated into
the process, utilising primary (screening, flotation,
filtration) and some secondary treatments as
pre-treatment stages.
