The Eiffel Tower is named after the company
that designed and built the 1889 World's Fair
entrance arch. A trip to Paris would certainly
not be complete without visiting the cultural
icon that symbolises its country. I cannot
guarantee shorter queues as the tower has not
yet lost its charm and fame, but the hack uses
the stairs and then the elevator to the top.

12. Louvre Museum — Rue de
Rivoli
The Louvre Museum is the largest in the world.
It was initially a fortress in 1190 and served as
a royal house palace from 1546 to 1682.
Considering that the Louvre is the largest
museum on the planet, it is almost impossible
to view all the paintings and artworks inside.
The best thing to do is to pick the paintings you
want to see beforehand and share the stories of
the paintings with your kids.

Museum — Rue Cuvier
Another historic site, the Natural History
Museum in Paris, was established in 1635 by
King Louis XIII as the Royal Garden of
medicinal plants. Discover copies and
skeletons of past and present animals at the
Natural History Museum in Paris. Kids will
especially love the Evolution Gallery, where
more than 350 life-like animal models are on
display with light, sound and quizzes.

14. The Conciergerie — Île
de la Cité
The Conciergerie remains of the royal palace,
built in the 1300s. After the French Revolution,
thousands of prisoners were detained here
before being hanged. One of them is the
famous Mary Antoinette. Kids absolutely love
the castles as all the dragon stories backed by
charming princes on white horses come real…
or do they? Your choice of how you want to
amuse your kids, really.

15. Monolithos Castle
Monoliths Castle is a 15th-century castle
built on a 100-meter cliff in Rhodes. One of
the oldest sites in Greece, it is located above
the sea on the west coast of the island. The
structure is relatively well preserved as it is
never besieged. You can also visit the two
white-painted church ruins, which give you a
beautiful view of the surrounding landscape.

16. Rhodes Toy Museum
Rhodes Toy Museum has plenty of miniature
cars on display, along with old-school games
dating back to the 20th century. Children can
create their toys and enjoy entertaining
events, including puppet shows. This is also
an excellent place for adults to reminisce
about their childhood by playing with their
favourite discontinued toys.

17. Faliraki Water Park
A 10 km south of Rhodes Town, Faliraki
Water Park is Rhodes' best soothing places.
It offers families a refreshing day off the
beach. It has plenty of slides, rides and pools
for all ages. There are small slides, shallow
pools and a pirate ship for kids, while older
kids can enjoy fast and twisting waterfalls, a
tidal pool and a lazy river for tube rides.

18. Valley of the Butterflies
The Valley of Butterflies offers a unique natural
phenomenon in August. Millions of Jersey tiger
butterflies land in the valley to find shelter from
the summer heat. The view of these colourful
scales covering the vegetation of the valley
creates exciting photographs. You can visit the
park at any time of the year - pedestrian
bridges overlooking the many waterfalls and
small rivers that run through the valley.
