1. All ERA-TAC mounting systems are produced to the
NATO-STANAG 4694 Standard
The use of heavy optics on large caliber weapons subjects the Picatinny-
to-Mount contact areas to very high stresses during recoil.
The STANAG 4694 standard allows these stresses to be distributed over
a significantly larger surface area than the
MIL-STD-1913 standard allows.
