Middle School Transition Paper
The framework for the proposed study is based on the educational research related to middle school transition. The literature review is divided into four
sections. The first section analyzes the research literature on the psycho–social effects of middle school. The second section highlights the
environmental effects of the middle school. The third section describes the achievement of students as they transition into the middle school
configurations, and the final section lays out a conceptual framework that the researcher has developed to examine the factors to consider in choosing
the best configuration for sixth graders in the county.
Studies from the educational literature have suggested features of middle school environments that may have an impact on the emotional well–being of
sixth grade students. Some of these environmental characteristics are: school size, the ratio of students to teachers, the...show more content...
In the early 1970s more middle school configurations shifted away from the junior high school model by creating a 6–8. Many districts leaders created
grade span configurations to close the achievement gaps; however, their attempts lacked fidelity, consistency, and an in depth analysis of what impacts
the transitions have on meeting the needs of the whole child.
The literature review in this study will focus on the best grade span configuration for sixth graders in the County and to determine what the main
environmental and internal issues are that are perceived and observed by their parents and their teachers. To conduct a peer–review of the literature
available from online databases, keywords were searched in various combinations of the above–mentioned terms. A return of limited results indicated a
gap in literature relating to environmental and internal issues of sixth graders in middle school

Why High School Is Better Than Middle School
Each year schools of 25 teachers would use about 62,500 pieces of paper. The amount of paper you use each day depends on the class you have. It
also depends on the teacher of the class. Schools of more than 25 teachers would use more paper. It also depends how many students are in each class,
and in the school overall. I think you use more paper in high school than you do in middle school. There are three other ways high school is different
than middle school.
First, the homework you have in high school is quite a bit different than middle school. In middle school we had homework almost everyday in
most of our classes. In high school we have homework about once or twice a week for each class depending on the class and project. In middle
school I believe we had way more homework than we do in high school. The homework in high school is also easier. Some people struggle with
homework but I just sit down and do it so then after I can do whatever I want. I think high school is a lot different than in middle school....show more

The summer before I started high school I was most nervous about getting lost. It turns out the high school is not as big as you think. Once you
figure out where each department is it is not very hard to find the classroom you are looking for. The first day is freshman and LINK leaders only.
The LINK leaders help you figure out where your first quarter classes are and show you around the school. By the time the first quarter is over you
know where most all the classrooms and departments are. I do not know and freshman who got lost like I thought we would. There is no reason for
students to be scared to go to high

Middle School vs. 5th Grade From the crazy fifth graders playing on the playground, to the sound of 6th graders roaring for the superior football team.
Middle school is surprisingly different compared to elementary school. Namely, in fifth grade, you were the head of the elementary, and then in middle
school, you become the little ducklings. Despite the fact, that you become ducklings you still get to look up to older and wiser kids. Due to the
increased freedom, lockers with locks, and a variety of subjects to learn. Lastly, middle school is exceptionally better that elementary school.
The freedom you get in middle school is unbelievable because in fifth grade you had barely any freedom. For instance, in middle school, you

High School And Middle School Similarities
The hallways full of lockers, teachers, and students is the start to any academic future, despite the differences high school and middle school bring.
High school and middle school have many differences, some not as large as others. From decorated middle school lockers, to the red and black
cardinal spirited lockers at the high school, is just one tiny difference between the two (BE10). Major differences include the homework given, how
intense high school sports are, and more classes available in high school than middle school. Among the many differences, high school is brought to
another level of expectations, requirements, and responsibility. To anyone thinking high school is just something to float on by, will have a rude
awakening soon to arise. One of the biggest changes between the high school and middle school is the amount change in homework (BE9). While
being in the seventh and eighth grade, teachers weren't allowed to give out homework to students on a Wednesday night, due to church. Also, teachers
would rarely hand out homework on game days, as the student athletes will return home late. In high school, it is a completely different story.
Homework gained in high school could be anything from writing an amazing paper for English class, to finishing up the math homework assigned that
day. Teachers will assign homework any day of the week, therefore students could have nine different classes with homework given (BE11). Students
may finally go to bed late, homework

Middle School Experience Research Paper
What is your definition of each? Think about your elementary experiences, your middle school experiences, your high school experiences, you college
experiences, (and) your life experiences.
пѓ Elementary Experiences – This is the most critical learning stage. It sets the foundation for a child's educational path. At this age, reading and
learning is a visual task and word recognition helps teach students how to read.
пѓ Middle School Experiences – This is the stage where a child is developing mentally and physically, so it is important to maintain a good working
relationship with the student that promotes learning new ideas and improving those skills that are not quite where they need to be. At this age, reading
and learning is a thought...show more content...
Have fun! Explore! Learn! Grow! Be sure to make wise, logical decisions. If you need help mapping your plan out, talk to a career or college
advisor. If you feel comfortable, you may also speak with your parents about the next steps that you need to take. Don't be afraid to take chances! Just
make sure that your decisions will not affect you in a negative way long–term. College is a place where you will have the opportunity to learn new
things and become more independent. This will, in the future, enable you to live the lifestyle that you have always desired. In order to survive in
this world, you have to be able to multitask, adapt to change, and keep a level head. I feel that college is the best place to learn all of these skills,
while improving the skills that you already possess. College provides students with many avenues to take a look at and leaves it up to them to decide
which one would be better for their future plans. It gives students more direction than high school in which it should. College is the next step to
reaching your desired destination in life. At this age, reading is merely reproducing what the author has written, a mean making process, and a social

What Is Middle School Easy
When we were told we needed to write a speech we all looked at each other and didn't know where to begin. We quickly realized we were not going
to come up here and tell you that middle school was easy. We all had our struggles and challenges that were different for all of us but we all overcame
them. Sometimes "every move we made felt lost with no direction," but with the support and encouragement from our families, friends and the staff
here at Baird, we were able to get through them.
If these last three years of middle school taught us anything it is that balance is very important in not only school but also in life. With having to deal
with academics, sports, friends and extracurricular activities it is very easy to get lost in knowing

Comparison Of Middle School And High School
Middle school and high school sound very similar but they are not. All of the classes, activities, and opportunities change. It will not be the same
as what you are use to. You will grow up having fun in high school. In middle school your classes are very demanding, you have to go to them. In
high school, you can get out of school at any time, the teachers are layed back. As you get older your classes get harder. All of the classes you had
in middle school are totally different, and you will most likely not understand some of the things you are being taught. When you are in middle
school you have a lot of homework, but in high school you will have way more. Also in high school you will have to carry a lot of books.Activities

Facts About Middle School
Facts about 6th grade You have to be really careful because here in middle school you can get write ups really easy and tardies. To stay out of

Compare and Contrast Essay: Last School Year vs. This School Year
Walking leisurely with a teacher compared to walking alone in the hallways, surely I would prefer to walk alone. Because of our growth in maturity, we
students have an abundant number of responsibilities in the sixth grade. These responsibilities consist of an exceptional amount of homework and
quizzes, a locker combination, remembering the schedule, and walking alone to classes. Adapting to middle school is difficult due to the bountiful
responsibilities; however, students can adapt in no time. The freedom and the responsibilities students obtain in sixth grade make it extremely different
to fifth grade.
Sixth grade is tremendously different the fifth

Education is widely accepted to be an essential part of people's lives. It is generally agreed that education helps people to develop their own
personalities, by acquiring new knowledge, using different sources. An American philosopher John Dewey (n.d) claimed: "Education is a social
process. Education...show more content...
Students in the USA are dissimilar to students of the UK that they start high school right away after middle school, when they reach 14 years. American
high school consists of 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades, which are also known as freshman, sophomore, junior and senior. In the USA there are also
Honours, Advanced Placement, and International Baccalaureate classes that are more rigid and the load of homework is much greater (USA Study
Guide, 2007). The transition from middle to high school is challenging indeed because the type of education that is used in each institution is very
different. At high school students not only acquire knowledge, but also get some experience, which is very useful for them in future.
Secondly, the UK and the USA have totally different examinations for the students. GCSE and A–level are the main exams in the UK, whereas the
USA has its own method of assessment, which is called GPA. GCSE is the General Certificate of Secondary Education. It is a two–year study course
for 15–16 years students. Usually British students pass GSCE exam when they reach the age of 16. GCSE is essential for students who want to take
further examinations, such as AS/A–levels and enter the university or a college of higher education (Kozma, 2010).
Besides, GCSE gives you a chance to assess your knowledge and skills and help you to define your weak points and how you can

Freshman year vs Senior year are different but are kind of the same in a way. Although, they both take place in high school they are totally different
years. Everything is different from freshman year to senior year, you change as a person and learn many things. Freshman Year and Senior Year are
both very stressful years of high school. Freshman year I made new friends because I was at a new school with some new people. I also tried to make
sure my grades stayed up because now that I'm in high school I have to start thinking what I want to do when I graduate, what college I want to go. I'll
have to keep my grades up now because I want to be able to get into a good college and I will be stressing out because I still don't know what I want
to do when I graduate from high school or where, as most of the other will be too. These years are kind of the fun years of high school. As a freshman
I was trying everything out, all the activities, making new friends and going to the dances and sporting events....show more content...
Freshman year everyone is friends with everyone, they are finding their true friends. As a senior, I will have my true friends, the ones I can trust and
ones that I will have in college. I mean you still are friends with a lot of the others in your grade, but I have found the ones that I can trust and will
have your back in any situation. The first day of school as a freshman I was excited and nervous to go. Last year in eighth grade we were the big dogs
in the school and now we are back to being the little newbies. I was thinking how will I find my classes, my locker, the office, where do I sit at lunch
and will I make new friends. As for the seniors first day, I'll be excited we are the big dogs in the school again. We already know where our classes are,
who our teachers are, we are very calm about being back and excited to start their last year of high

Elementary Vs Middle School
Not everybody likes school but, elementary school is and will always be my best five years of school. Elementary school, miss one day nothing
happens. High school, miss one day you're failing three classes. Kindergarten, you get naps because little kids are not use to being up that early.
That's the only year you get a nap because they try to get you ready for the next year. Fifth grade, they changed the rules this year at Lincoln
Elementary school, they don't let you have recess anymore because they are trying to get you ready for middle school. In middle school you don't get
recess. Elementary and Middle school are alike many ways. The stuff they teach you is very easy to learn and to do it. You can take choir, band, and
orchestra to learn how to sing and play a musical instrument. Both Elementary and Middle school teach the same subjects, reading, math, social...show

Middle school they have different teachers teaching the subjects unlike in elementary the teacher teaches all the subjects besides music, art, and
gym. Students in middle school work with more than one teacher. Middle school is transitioning students to be more prepared for High school. In
Elementary school they don't care how immature you are but, in Middle school they want you to act your age and more mature. You get to play
games and have more fun in Elementary school. Middle school it's all about the learning and maturity level. So, as you can tell there are a lot more
differences then similarities in Elementary and Middle school. Lincoln Elementary School is my favorite school out of the other two schools I attend.
They give you extra recess, sometimes the teachers give you candy if you are good. Every school is not the same as the others. They principals do
things differently and run the schools

High School Vs Middle School Essay
When people make the change from elementary school to middle school, a lot of things change for them. Like the layout, the rules, and the hours,
so when they think about going to high school they think it will be much tougher. Except there is not much of a difference between high school
and middle school. Also the only difference between the two are not all that big. These are the I find similar and difference from middle school and
high school. First there are the layout and hours of high school and middle school. Which really is not that different because the layout of middle
school and high school are similar. Every classes are divided up into groups one section is only math another is only english and the history have its
own section too. Also the hours for high school are just the same as middle school. The only difference there is is that there is a seventh hour and
every class is 50 minutes long....show more content...
Except as long as if they understood the stuff in middle school they should be fine in high school. Since at the beginning of the high school year,
they touch on the material that you talked about at the end of middle school, and slowly, and gradually progress on tougher stuff. As long as you
stay in classes at there grade level and still work hard they should be fine. Also do not worry about the homework because the only two classes that
I know give homework are math, and english. Finally the only big difference between high school and middle school is that the grades actually
matter. Because that grade decides which college they go to by seeing how good GPA is, which all depends how good there grade is. Also by
passing the class they get credits. Which also helps in getting in the college that they would want. Which is why they give out so much extra credit and
boosters. To improve grades that need help

What I thought about the first quarter was easy because it was the first quarter and the second quarter is going to be harder. The lunch was the
same from last year but a few more items. And last year i only packed, now this year i only buy. My grades are falling apart. My year is going good
and it's pretty fun. I'm not really working on my goals because i forgot them. But I am doing better on my homework. The one big difference from this
year to last year is that my day feels shorter than last year, by alot. My thoughts and feelings so far on the 8th grade is that it's going to be fun and
enjoyable, also short. When I was reading the letters from other 8th graders, alot of people said that you are lucky to be top dog's in the school.

Differences Between Middle School And High School
Changing schools is a huge adjustment, especially between middle school and high school. Everything is new, and that can be a scary adjustment.
However, if one looks past the numerous differences, there are many remaining similarities. You worked your way to the top as the big bad eighth
graders but now you have once again fallen to the bottom with more grades above you since primary school. One works towards very different things
in each school and once you are in high school schedules fill up to an unimaginable amount. Say good–bye to freetime because it is rare. However once
one recognizes some of the more familiar things from before they can be a great comfort. In both schools you experience new freedoms both inside
and outside of the actual school as well as having higher expectations.
The biggest difference between middle school and high school is what the work is going towards. In middle school all one needs is to get a good
grade for the sake of grades and maybe determine what classes they want to take in high school. That is far less pressure than faced high school. In
high school grades can feel like a great weight on your shoulders especially in the more advanced courses. What is done in high school determines
where your future leads in college or whatever is done after. It not only shapes your education but how you are presented to the adult world to be
entered soon. Not only that, if your grades are not high enough you will be pulled from activities. Overall

Middle School Vs High School
Differences between middle and high school This school year is a lot more different than it was last year. People are a lot less immature, and teachers
won't hold your hand all the way through the year. Teachers won't continue to yell at at students for not doing homework, or essays, because they're
making their own path. There are many differences between the two. First thing different is the way teachers treat students. In middle school they will
hold kids hands through everything, and will have more than one chance to improve. They will try and help fix mistakes kids have made, but teachers in
high school will help kids to a certain extent, and once they pass that the teacher will not baby them anymore. Secondly

High School Vs Middle School Essay
High school vs Middle school Have you ever experienced the transition from high school to middle school? Many students that go from middle
school to high school are worried about the big changes in the environments. Although there are many differences between middle school and high
school, there are also many similarities. In high school, you eventually have to take college classes if you plan on going to college, the school is
much bigger, the grades that you make in high school are really important for your future, and there is more responsibility. In middle school, you
have to walk on the lines in the hallway, there is less homework, you aren't aloud to have your phones out during class, and you also get reward time
if all of your assignments are turned in and you have not been in AE. Also, in middle school there is only two grades, in high school...show more

Also, they both do classes in periods. For example, some schools do their classes in blocks which is where you stay in the same class for
approximately two hours and then you switch, and every nine weeks you switch classes. At our schools we switch classes about every forty–five
minutes. Most students end up liking high school a lot better than middle school because you have more freedom. But freedom can also be
dangerous if you don't know how to handle it. Now that you have seen the similarities and differences between middle school and high school,
you'll realize that high school isn't as scary as it may seem. Although high school is quite different than middle school, after you adapt to the
environment, everything else will be simple. High school is just a more serious version of middle school and this is because the high school has to
prepare you for the world that you will be going into. High school can be a great place if you are determined to make it

Middle school vs High school
1Many people endure three years of middle school and four years of high school. It is an eventful time for children between 11 to 18 years old. During
the adolescent years there are hormonal changes, environmental changes and emotional developmental gains. Middle school is the beginning of
transitioning towards independence under the constant eye of adults. During high school they are challenged with real–world challenges that help them
transition into adulthood. The behaviors of these individuals change as the factors change around them. For every person, the experience of high
school or middle school may be different. Either way, both have the same goal of wanting the student to succeed and evolve. Even so, the similarities
and differences vary. Middle school and high school are alike in the areas of receiving an education, socializing with others, and having teachers while
different in areas of maturity, difficulty in work, and independence.
2Middle school and high school are alike in the aspect that individuals are receiving an education. Both groups go to learn many different subjects that
vary depending on the student. Either way it is to ensure that each student is gaining an education for future endeavors. Both groups have many
teachers that they encounter each day. That is a prime characteristic of school which truly makes a school function. The teachers teach, grade, and
guide the students to help them create a firm understanding.

Leadership In Middle School
When attending middle school, it is consider most students' "awkward stage" of schooling, from their physical appearances and to the idea of
becoming a young adult with a variety of choices to choice from such as their classes to the clubs or sports teams that they might want to join. For
most middle school students, the idea of changing from a young elementary student, who was not given much variety in school to the idea of entering
into middle school where they are learning how to become their own advocate by becoming a leader within and outside of the classroom. Within the
middle school setting, all of these events of student's life don't happened over night. It takes time and the guidance of the teacher to help the student
make connection

Middle School Transition Paper

  • 1. Middle School Transition Paper The framework for the proposed study is based on the educational research related to middle school transition. The literature review is divided into four sections. The first section analyzes the research literature on the psycho–social effects of middle school. The second section highlights the environmental effects of the middle school. The third section describes the achievement of students as they transition into the middle school configurations, and the final section lays out a conceptual framework that the researcher has developed to examine the factors to consider in choosing the best configuration for sixth graders in the county. Studies from the educational literature have suggested features of middle school environments that may have an impact on the emotional well–being of sixth grade students. Some of these environmental characteristics are: school size, the ratio of students to teachers, the...show more content... In the early 1970s more middle school configurations shifted away from the junior high school model by creating a 6–8. Many districts leaders created grade span configurations to close the achievement gaps; however, their attempts lacked fidelity, consistency, and an in depth analysis of what impacts the transitions have on meeting the needs of the whole child. The literature review in this study will focus on the best grade span configuration for sixth graders in the County and to determine what the main environmental and internal issues are that are perceived and observed by their parents and their teachers. To conduct a peer–review of the literature available from online databases, keywords were searched in various combinations of the above–mentioned terms. A return of limited results indicated a gap in literature relating to environmental and internal issues of sixth graders in middle school Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Why High School Is Better Than Middle School Each year schools of 25 teachers would use about 62,500 pieces of paper. The amount of paper you use each day depends on the class you have. It also depends on the teacher of the class. Schools of more than 25 teachers would use more paper. It also depends how many students are in each class, and in the school overall. I think you use more paper in high school than you do in middle school. There are three other ways high school is different than middle school. First, the homework you have in high school is quite a bit different than middle school. In middle school we had homework almost everyday in most of our classes. In high school we have homework about once or twice a week for each class depending on the class and project. In middle school I believe we had way more homework than we do in high school. The homework in high school is also easier. Some people struggle with homework but I just sit down and do it so then after I can do whatever I want. I think high school is a lot different than in middle school....show more content... The summer before I started high school I was most nervous about getting lost. It turns out the high school is not as big as you think. Once you figure out where each department is it is not very hard to find the classroom you are looking for. The first day is freshman and LINK leaders only. The LINK leaders help you figure out where your first quarter classes are and show you around the school. By the time the first quarter is over you know where most all the classrooms and departments are. I do not know and freshman who got lost like I thought we would. There is no reason for students to be scared to go to high Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Middle School vs. 5th Grade From the crazy fifth graders playing on the playground, to the sound of 6th graders roaring for the superior football team. Middle school is surprisingly different compared to elementary school. Namely, in fifth grade, you were the head of the elementary, and then in middle school, you become the little ducklings. Despite the fact, that you become ducklings you still get to look up to older and wiser kids. Due to the increased freedom, lockers with locks, and a variety of subjects to learn. Lastly, middle school is exceptionally better that elementary school. The freedom you get in middle school is unbelievable because in fifth grade you had barely any freedom. For instance, in middle school, you Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. High School And Middle School Similarities The hallways full of lockers, teachers, and students is the start to any academic future, despite the differences high school and middle school bring. High school and middle school have many differences, some not as large as others. From decorated middle school lockers, to the red and black cardinal spirited lockers at the high school, is just one tiny difference between the two (BE10). Major differences include the homework given, how intense high school sports are, and more classes available in high school than middle school. Among the many differences, high school is brought to another level of expectations, requirements, and responsibility. To anyone thinking high school is just something to float on by, will have a rude awakening soon to arise. One of the biggest changes between the high school and middle school is the amount change in homework (BE9). While being in the seventh and eighth grade, teachers weren't allowed to give out homework to students on a Wednesday night, due to church. Also, teachers would rarely hand out homework on game days, as the student athletes will return home late. In high school, it is a completely different story. Homework gained in high school could be anything from writing an amazing paper for English class, to finishing up the math homework assigned that day. Teachers will assign homework any day of the week, therefore students could have nine different classes with homework given (BE11). Students may finally go to bed late, homework Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Middle School Experience Research Paper What is your definition of each? Think about your elementary experiences, your middle school experiences, your high school experiences, you college experiences, (and) your life experiences. пѓ Elementary Experiences – This is the most critical learning stage. It sets the foundation for a child's educational path. At this age, reading and learning is a visual task and word recognition helps teach students how to read. пѓ Middle School Experiences – This is the stage where a child is developing mentally and physically, so it is important to maintain a good working relationship with the student that promotes learning new ideas and improving those skills that are not quite where they need to be. At this age, reading and learning is a thought...show more content... Have fun! Explore! Learn! Grow! Be sure to make wise, logical decisions. If you need help mapping your plan out, talk to a career or college advisor. If you feel comfortable, you may also speak with your parents about the next steps that you need to take. Don't be afraid to take chances! Just make sure that your decisions will not affect you in a negative way long–term. College is a place where you will have the opportunity to learn new things and become more independent. This will, in the future, enable you to live the lifestyle that you have always desired. In order to survive in this world, you have to be able to multitask, adapt to change, and keep a level head. I feel that college is the best place to learn all of these skills, while improving the skills that you already possess. College provides students with many avenues to take a look at and leaves it up to them to decide which one would be better for their future plans. It gives students more direction than high school in which it should. College is the next step to reaching your desired destination in life. • 6. What Is Middle School Easy When we were told we needed to write a speech we all looked at each other and didn't know where to begin. We quickly realized we were not going to come up here and tell you that middle school was easy. We all had our struggles and challenges that were different for all of us but we all overcame them. Sometimes "every move we made felt lost with no direction," but with the support and encouragement from our families, friends and the staff here at Baird, we were able to get through them. If these last three years of middle school taught us anything it is that balance is very important in not only school but also in life. With having to deal with academics, sports, friends and extracurricular activities it is very easy to get lost in knowing Get more content on HelpWriting.net

In high school, you can get out of school at any time, the teachers are layed back. As you get older your classes get harder. All of the classes you had in middle school are totally different, and you will most likely not understand some of the things you are being taught. To stay out of getting write ups be one your best behavior no getting in fights no hurting any body and be nice. To stay out of getting tardies come to class on time you only get five minutes in between classes. At lunch we get to set by people we want to and if we do something kinda bad or didn't turn in something. we can get lunch detention that's where you set by you self. • 9. Compare And Contrast High School Vs Middle School Compare and Contrast Essay: Last School Year vs. This School Year Walking leisurely with a teacher compared to walking alone in the hallways, surely I would prefer to walk alone. Because of our growth in maturity, we students have an abundant number of responsibilities in the sixth grade. These responsibilities consist of an exceptional amount of homework and quizzes, a locker combination, remembering the schedule, and walking alone to classes. Adapting to middle school is difficult due to the bountiful responsibilities; however, students can adapt in no time. The freedom and the responsibilities students obtain in sixth grade make it extremely different to fifth grade. Sixth grade is tremendously different the fifth Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Similarities and differences between the UK and the USA regarding university entrance procedure5 Conclusion7 References Introduction Education is widely accepted to be an essential part of people's lives. Students in the USA are dissimilar to students of the UK that they start high school right away after middle school, when they reach 14 years. American high school consists of 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades, which are also known as freshman, sophomore, junior and senior. In the USA there are also Honours, Advanced Placement, and International Baccalaureate classes that are more rigid and the load of homework is much greater (USA Study Guide, 2007). The transition from middle to high school is challenging indeed because the type of education that is used in each institution is very different. At high school students not only acquire knowledge, but also get some experience, which is very useful for them in future. Secondly, the UK and the USA have totally different examinations for the students. GCSE and A–level are the main exams in the UK, whereas the

GCSE is essential for students who want to take further examinations, such as AS/A–levels and enter the university or a college of higher education (Kozma, 2010). Everything is different from freshman year to senior year, you change as a person and learn many things. Freshman Year and Senior Year are both very stressful years of high school. Freshman year I made new friends because I was at a new school with some new people. I also tried to make sure my grades stayed up because now that I'm in high school I have to start thinking what I want to do when I graduate, what college I want to go. I'll have to keep my grades up now because I want to be able to get into a good college and I will be stressing out because I still don't know what I want to do when I graduate from high school or where, as most of the other will be too. These years are kind of the fun years of high school. I mean you still are friends with a lot of the others in your grade, but I have found the ones that I can trust and will have your back in any situation. The first day of school as a freshman I was excited and nervous to go. Last year in eighth grade we were the big dogs in the school and now we are back to being the little newbies. I was thinking how will I find my classes, my locker, the office, where do I sit at lunch and will I make new friends. As for the seniors first day, I'll be excited we are the big dogs in the school again. We already know where our classes are, who our teachers are, we are very calm about being back and excited to start their last year of high Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Elementary Vs Middle School Not everybody likes school but, elementary school is and will always be my best five years of school. Elementary school, miss one day nothing happens. High school, miss one day you're failing three classes. Kindergarten, you get naps because little kids are not use to being up that early. That's the only year you get a nap because they try to get you ready for the next year. Fifth grade, they changed the rules this year at Lincoln Elementary school, they don't let you have recess anymore because they are trying to get you ready for middle school. In middle school you don't get recess. Elementary and Middle school are alike many ways. The stuff they teach you is very easy to learn and to do it. You can take choir, band, and orchestra to learn how to sing and play a musical instrument. Both Elementary and Middle school teach the same subjects, reading, math, social...show more content... Middle school they have different teachers teaching the subjects unlike in elementary the teacher teaches all the subjects besides music, art, and gym. Students in middle school work with more than one teacher. Middle school is transitioning students to be more prepared for High school. In Elementary school they don't care how immature you are but, in Middle school they want you to act your age and more mature. You get to play games and have more fun in Elementary school. Middle school it's all about the learning and maturity level. So, as you can tell there are a lot more differences then similarities in Elementary and Middle school. Lincoln Elementary School is my favorite school out of the other two schools I attend. They give you extra recess, sometimes the teachers give you candy if you are good. • 14. High School Vs Middle School Essay When people make the change from elementary school to middle school, a lot of things change for them. Like the layout, the rules, and the hours, so when they think about going to high school they think it will be much tougher. Except there is not much of a difference between high school and middle school. Also the only difference between the two are not all that big. These are the I find similar and difference from middle school and high school. First there are the layout and hours of high school and middle school. Which really is not that different because the layout of middle school and high school are similar. Every classes are divided up into groups one section is only math another is only english and the history have its own section too. Also the hours for high school are just the same as middle school. The only difference there is is that there is a seventh hour and every class is 50 minutes long....show more content... Except as long as if they understood the stuff in middle school they should be fine in high school. Since at the beginning of the high school year, they touch on the material that you talked about at the end of middle school, and slowly, and gradually progress on tougher stuff. As long as you stay in classes at there grade level and still work hard they should be fine. Also do not worry about the homework because the only two classes that I know give homework are math, and english. Finally the only big difference between high school and middle school is that the grades actually matter. Because that grade decides which college they go to by seeing how good GPA is, which all depends how good there grade is. Also by passing the class they get credits. Which also helps in getting in the college that they would want. Which is why they give out so much extra credit and boosters. To improve grades that need help Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The lunch was the same from last year but a few more items. And last year i only packed, now this year i only buy. My grades are falling apart. My year is going good and it's pretty fun. I'm not really working on my goals because i forgot them. But I am doing better on my homework. The one big difference from this year to last year is that my day feels shorter than last year, by alot. My thoughts and feelings so far on the 8th grade is that it's going to be fun and enjoyable, also short. When I was reading the letters from other 8th graders, alot of people said that you are lucky to be top dog's in the school. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Differences Between Middle School And High School Changing schools is a huge adjustment, especially between middle school and high school. Everything is new, and that can be a scary adjustment. However, if one looks past the numerous differences, there are many remaining similarities. You worked your way to the top as the big bad eighth graders but now you have once again fallen to the bottom with more grades above you since primary school. One works towards very different things in each school and once you are in high school schedules fill up to an unimaginable amount. Say good–bye to freetime because it is rare. However once one recognizes some of the more familiar things from before they can be a great comfort. In both schools you experience new freedoms both inside and outside of the actual school as well as having higher expectations. The biggest difference between middle school and high school is what the work is going towards. In middle school all one needs is to get a good grade for the sake of grades and maybe determine what classes they want to take in high school. That is far less pressure than faced high school. In high school grades can feel like a great weight on your shoulders especially in the more advanced courses. What is done in high school determines where your future leads in college or whatever is done after. It not only shapes your education but how you are presented to the adult world to be entered soon. Not only that, if your grades are not high enough you will be pulled from activities. Overall Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Middle School Vs High School Differences between middle and high school This school year is a lot more different than it was last year. People are a lot less immature, and teachers won't hold your hand all the way through the year. Teachers won't continue to yell at at students for not doing homework, or essays, because they're making their own path. There are many differences between the two. First thing different is the way teachers treat students. In middle school they will hold kids hands through everything, and will have more than one chance to improve. They will try and help fix mistakes kids have made, but teachers in high school will help kids to a certain extent, and once they pass that the teacher will not baby them anymore. • 18. High School Vs Middle School Essay High school vs Middle school Have you ever experienced the transition from high school to middle school? Many students that go from middle school to high school are worried about the big changes in the environments. Although there are many differences between middle school and high school, there are also many similarities. In high school, you eventually have to take college classes if you plan on going to college, the school is much bigger, the grades that you make in high school are really important for your future, and there is more responsibility. In middle school, you have to walk on the lines in the hallway, there is less homework, you aren't aloud to have your phones out during class, and you also get reward time if all of your assignments are turned in and you have not been in AE. Also, in middle school there is only two grades, in high school...show more content... Also, they both do classes in periods. For example, some schools do their classes in blocks which is where you stay in the same class for approximately two hours and then you switch, and every nine weeks you switch classes. At our schools we switch classes about every forty–five minutes. Most students end up liking high school a lot better than middle school because you have more freedom. But freedom can also be dangerous if you don't know how to handle it. Now that you have seen the similarities and differences between middle school and high school, you'll realize that high school isn't as scary as it may seem. Although high school is quite different than middle school, after you adapt to the environment, everything else will be simple. High school is just a more serious version of middle school and this is because the high school has to prepare you for the world that you will be going into. High school can be a great place if you are determined to make it Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Middle school vs High school 1Many people endure three years of middle school and four years of high school. It is an eventful time for children between 11 to 18 years old. During the adolescent years there are hormonal changes, environmental changes and emotional developmental gains. Middle school is the beginning of transitioning towards independence under the constant eye of adults. During high school they are challenged with real–world challenges that help them transition into adulthood. The behaviors of these individuals change as the factors change around them. For every person, the experience of high school or middle school may be different. Either way, both have the same goal of wanting the student to succeed and evolve. Even so, the similarities and differences vary. Middle school and high school are alike in the areas of receiving an education, socializing with others, and having teachers while different in areas of maturity, difficulty in work, and independence. 2Middle school and high school are alike in the aspect that individuals are receiving an education. Both groups go to learn many different subjects that vary depending on the student. Either way it is to ensure that each student is gaining an education for future endeavors. Both groups have many teachers that they encounter each day. That is a prime characteristic of school which truly makes a school function. The teachers teach, grade, and guide the students to help them create a firm understanding. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Leadership In Middle School When attending middle school, it is consider most students' "awkward stage" of schooling, from their physical appearances and to the idea of becoming a young adult with a variety of choices to choice from such as their classes to the clubs or sports teams that they might want to join. For most middle school students, the idea of changing from a young elementary student, who was not given much variety in school to the idea of entering into middle school where they are learning how to become their own advocate by becoming a leader within and outside of the classroom.
