Professional summary:
During M.Sc. program, I worked on tissue culture of the endangered medicinal plant Kelussia
odoratissima, in vitro breaking seed dormancy, plant micropropagation, secondary metabolites,
and its essential oil compounds. My thesis was accepted as an invention in Iran. I am trying to
improve my academic skills and increase my knowledge in the horticultural sciences field. I am
particularly interested in working on medicinal plants.
Objectives and major interests:
I have general skills in research, project management, data analysis, writing and publishing
academic papers, and the peer review process. My experiences and interests include medicinal
plant propagation, chemical composition, plant tissue culture, micropropagation, plant growth
regulators, horticultural sciences, greenhouse plants, mushroom cultivation, and also plant
preservative compounds for ornamental flowers. I am also willing to pursue big ideas, which can

get the attention of other scientists. At this time, I am working on plant responses to drought
stress and cutting-edge biotechnology approaches for improving drought tolerance in crops to
mitigate the adverse effects of climate change.
Honors and awards:
 Ranked first among more than 3000 participants in the entrance exam for M.Sc. degree
Sep, 2009.
 Awarded and prized as a nominated student among 27000 graduated students in 10 years
(from 1999 to 2009) after acceptance for M.Sc. in Isfahan (Khorasgan) Branch, Islamic
Azad University, Isfahan, Iran.
 My M.Sc. dissertation was awarded as an invention named: Micropropagtion of
medicinal plant Kelussia odoratissima (Karafs-e-koohi) using the new method of
sterilization for producing explants along with the breaking of seed dormancy
