Lizgo Group IS A BRAND IN THE COLLECTION INDUSTRY.
We have branded our collection service that follows a strict code of ethics and performance standards. We
offer solutions to enable customers manage their credit responsibly. As a Brand we keep the promises we
have to our customers and principals which include:
1. UNDERSTANDING THE CUSTOMER
Lizgo Group has defined the debtor as its customer. As we commence the collection process, our role is to
make the customer pay our principals and continue to use our clients services if need arises. We start with
a benefit approach to ensure the customer understands why it is critical for them to pay the debt.
2. AN EFFECTIVE AND PROFESSIONAL COLLECTION PROCESS
We conduct our process with utmost professionalism. Our Team is firm, courteous and persuasive and
ensures that it negotiates the best terms that suits our principals.
3. RESULTS WITHIN A REASOANABLE SPEED OF SERVICE
LIZGO’S target Speed of Services (SOS) for collections is 60 calendar days, i.e. two months.The status of any
particular collection account at the end of 60 days should be at either of the following points.
i. Account fully paid
ii. Administration of a payment proposal ongoing
iii. Recovery through the court recommended
iv. Account placed in Debt Surveillance list.

4. EMBRACING THE TEAM SPIRIT -ESCALATION RULES WITHIN THE 60 DAYS
You must understand that to work as a team Lizgo Group collectively seeks to achieve results within an
agreed time frame within our principals. Within the 60 days periods, certain decisions and actions must be
taken at particular point in order to guide the collection process. These key decision points are as follows.
i. By Day 7 the Ist demand letter must have been dispatched
ii. By Day 15 contact must been made with the debtor. If no contact has been made with debtor
and there is no acceptable explanation for these state affairs, the Team leader may withdraw
and allocate the debt to another collect.
iii. By Day 30, contact has been made but no payment or proposal has been received and the
debtor has not disputed the debt, the account will be withdrawn and allocated to another
collectors.
iv. By Day 45, contract has been established but no payment or proposal has been received, the
second and final demand letter be dispatched.
v. By Day 60, if no payment has been received or proposal administered, a recommended should
be made to send the matter to court or place the account on the surveillance list depending on
the strength of evidence available.
ii. By Day 15 contact must been made with the debtor. If no contact has been made
with debtor and there is no acceptable explanation for these state affairs, the Team
leader may withdraw and allocate the debt to another collect.
iii. By Day 30, contact has been made but no payment or proposal has been received
and the debtor has not disputed the debt, the account will be withdrawn and
allocated to another collectors.
iv. By Day 45, contract has been established but no payment or proposal has been
received, the second and final demand letter be dispatched.
v. By Day 60, if no payment has been received or proposal administered, a

1. A PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT INDEX
i. Lisgo uses metric called Debt collection Index (DCI) to measure the effectiveness of collectors.
The DCI is calculated as follows.

ii. The DCI is used for two purposes:
a. To determine the effectiveness of a collector
b. To determine the overall effectiveness of the collection operation of the company
iii. Your target DCI will be 5% for the banking portfolio and 25% for theTrade and Utility portfolios
during your probation period. The company aims at an overall DCI of 40% across the entire
portfolio which must be achieved after confirmation, constituently low DCI of less than the target
acceptable and will result in automatic termination of collection services.
2. A PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT INDEX
i) In order to be effective in undertaking your duties, you must have sufficient knowledge of the
customer’s business activities / income sources. This may include people close to him/ her that
would step in to remedy the situation you may need to tactfully access that these people and
persuade them to pay the debt on the debtor. NEVER USE THREATS.
ii) Your must employ good negotiation skills based on key attributes as:
√ Assertiveness
√ Persistence
√ Constituency and
√ Flexibility:
√ As well as the art of firm questioning and good listening.

7. Commercial Collection
Commercial Collection services focus on companies and organizations with unpaid debtors from other
companies and organizations. (Business to Business)
Consumer Collection
Consumer Collection services are designed for companies with a customer base made up of many private
individuals, such as telephone, water and power companies. (Business to Consumers)
International Collection
In International Collection Lizgo Group has partnered with (DCP UK) and in reciprocal arrangements,
which call for Lizgo to collect debts, owed to clients of both companies in East Africa and for them (Thomas
Musau) to collect debts owed to our clients debts in other parts of the world including Europe, Asia and
the Americas.
Debt Surveillance
Under this service, Lizgo monitors long outstanding debts that may have been written off by companies
and attempts to collect them on the client’s behalf. Work on a portfolio usually continues for six years
before a debt is completely written off.
Tracing Services
In this service, Lizgo Group carries out investigations to trace debtors who the client has lost contact with.
This entails investigating the debtor’s location and assets to enable companies serve legal letters and
attach assets where judgment has been made.
