SOCIAL BUSINESS
 Social enterprise is a business that trades for a social purpose. The social aims of the business are of
equal importance to its commercial activities, and this combination is often referred to as the
‘double bottom line’.
 Like any business, a social enterprise focuses on generating an income through the sale of goods
and services to a market but the added value of a social enterprise comes from the way in which it
uses its profits to maximise social, community or environmental benefits.
 Motivation, energy and creativity are the most important elements of a social business. During your
business you should always keep an eye on those.
To start your business plan with a summary
 First, you should write an executive summary of your business. While writing your summary you
should be clear and specific.
 In your summary you can give place to a snapshot of what the social enterprise does
 A snapshot of what the organisation does
 Where you are now. Where you want to go. How you will get there.
 To make a timeline will help you on your way. Although many unexpected things might happen, to
make the timeline will help you to see your way.

 Background of the organisation

environment always will take you one step further.

External relations
 External relations are more important in a social entreprise. The person who is responsible of
external relations should be active an besides the present network and contact should make the
new ones.

The social aims of the business are of equal importance to its commercial activities, and this combination is often referred to as the ‘double bottom line’.  Like any business, a social enterprise focuses on generating an income through the sale of goods and services to a market but the added value of a social enterprise comes from the way in which it uses its profits to maximise social, community or environmental benefits.  Motivation, energy and creativity are the most important elements of a social business.
