2. CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the conference are as follows:
a. To provide a platform for academicians, researchers and practitioners to
share research findings and latest innovations in the field of finance and
banking;
b. To bridge the gap between theories and practices by assembling
academicians, industry practitioners, policy makers and parties related to
finance and banking sectors to exchange ideas and share views through
knowledge and experience;
c. To provide opportunities for participants to build a broader network and
enable collaboration in performing academic activities such as student and
staff mobility programs, jointly organized conferences, as well as research
and publication opportunities;
d. To establish academic relationships with national and international scholars
in finance and banking. It is hoped that this will lead to various forms of
cooperation between UUM and its peers in pursuing academic matters.

BEST PAPER AWARD
THREE (3) MFA Award winning papers will be published in the MFA’s journal,
the Capital Markets Review and carry a cash reward of RM1,000 each. In
addition, TWO (2) best papers in Islamic banking and finance area that carry a
cash reward of US$1,000 each will be awarded by the Pacific-Basin Finance
Journal (PBFJ). These papers will be published in a special issue of PBFJ (SSCI).

Selected papers will be considered for publication in the following

Acceptance is subject to compliance with the requirements of the
respective journal. Selected papers will undergo the journal’s peer review
process and subject to the editorial board decision.
E-Proceedings with ISBN
All full papers will undergo a blind peer review process to further enhance
the academic rigour. Accepted papers will be published in the refereed
conference e-proceedings with an ISBN.
PAPER SUBMISSION AND REGISTARTION
Prospective authors are invited to submit FULL PAPER for presentation
based on the following format:
1. The first page of the paper should contain title, name(s) of authors,
affiliations, addresses, and email addresses.
2. The abstract should not exceed 250 words with at least three to six
keywords.
3. The length of the paper is limited to not more than 15 pages,
excluding the first page, diagrams, tables, and references.
4. The references should be in accordance with APA style.
5. Please submit your full paper in MSWORD format, in Arial size 10,
justified alignment with 1.0 spacing, not later than 31 March 2018.
6. All full papers should be submitted along with the Paper Submission
Form.
For accepted submission, at least one author must register for the 20th
MFAC2018 by 31st June 2018 to ensure your paper to be included in the
programme book and conference E-Proceeding with ISBN number.
