My God, I am sorry for all my sins with all my heart, in
choosing to do wrong and failing to do good. I have
sinned against You whom I should love above all
things. I firmly intend with Your help to sin no more,
to do penance and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.

Most powerful and merciful Lord Jesus, lover of souls,
most admirable in Thy saints; listen to the sighs and
pleas of the souls in Purgatory who are desirous of
Thy mercy and to the prayers of those who are
making this novena for them, so that they may obtain
Thy mercy and deign to rescue them from that prison
of their great suffering. We beseech Thee to relieve
first those who are suffering there through our fault,
our close relatives, the abandoned, and those who are
