How to change your wifi password on a Netgear router
1. How to change your WIFI
password for a Netgear router
In this demonstration, I will show you how to change
your password for a Netgear router. I will also show
you how to get into your routers management page,
which works with all routers
2. Get to the router login page
• Type cmd into the search bar on the bottom left.
• Or click the start button and type cmd.
• Command Prompt should show up, either way,
click the program.
• This works for any brand of router.
3. Type ipconfig in the window and hit enter
• Look for the default gateway
followed by dots. Mine is
192.168.1.1
5. Enter credentials
• For many routers, the
username is admin.
• The password is
usually password or
admin.
• If you don’t know go to
http://www.routerpass
words.com/
6. • To change the password,
click on the wireless square
or the wireless tab.
7. • For security options, WPA2 is
the strongest security option.
• For the password or
(Network Key) type your
password as exampled in the
pictured.
• Scroll down and do it again
for 5GHz, it looks exactly the
same.
