2. Ensure to conduct surprise checks, seeding and mystery
shopping’s on vendors of all verticals of bank as well ensure
to take corrective action including reporting to IBA .
Investigation & Reporting of frauds
Investigation of Frauds in Retail Assets , payment Biz &
Branch banking channels.
Drafting of end to end investigation reports that comprise of
Modus Operandi of fraud , staff accountability and gaps
identified during investigations.
Reporting of FMR1 Report on actual and Suspected frauds to
to banks vigilance/ACB within 2 weeks of detection.
Preparation FMR 2 The quarterly reports on fraud
outstanding .
Preparation of FMR3 the case wise quarterly progress
reports and submission of action taken and plugging gaps in
processes by various departments.
Gold Loans & PSL – Retail Agri KGC
Gold Loans - Ensure to conduct end to end portfolio
concurrent audits of gold loans in all branches and
identification of suspected gold stock. Ensure to designs new
triggers to conduct Surprise check on gold assayers and
branches. Ensure to conduct cross valuation to cross check
the gold assayers appointed by underwriting team or
branches.
Retail Agri KGC – Ensure to formulate dynamic policies to
Box the risk in Retail Agri KGC portfolio which address to
Operational Risk, Transactional Risk and Collateral Risk.
Ensure to conduct end to end fraud investigations in retail
Agri frauds.
To keep a regular watch of State revenue act and state wise
registered mortgage process in line to secure collateral risk
for bank.
To keep a regular liaising with Revenue Authorities (
Tehsildar , Patwaries & Girdawars) to monitor ground level
transactions on mutation of land.
To formulate and design new policies to identify new risk
areas in customer profile, land records, Land mutation and
end use of funds .
Vendor Risk management
Vendor RISK Management as per RBI outsourcing policy,
which includes Verifications of vendors, surprise audits on
3. going performance evaluation. IBA reporting of vendors on
reported frauds. Publishing reports of regular vendor
reviews to senior management. Regular review of
compliance reports from team of different states as per
Bank regulatory requirements.
Ensure regular filling of Police complaints in attempted
frauds as well as portfolio frauds of bank. Close coordination
with state police.
Ensure to increase the networking with government
departments and law enforcement agencies as well as
ensure to increase intra bank fraud control network.
Ensure to prepare KYC fraud reports for Financial
intelligence unit reporting’s. Ensure to use HUNTER
Effectively for fraud prevention by Rules and Hit rate
analysis. Frauds related CRM disputes investigation and
complaint resolution.
Regular monitoring of cost budgets v/s utilization for each
product.
System risk management
Ensure to deploy a business continuity plan for smooth
processing of business in contingency situation. Ensure to
make a delegation matrix for updating and Authorization
rights of software used in bank.
Keep on consolidation and ratification of system related
issues faced by employees. Ensure to take immediate
corrective action if any overlapping /grey areas is identified
in actual delegation matrix and system functioning.
Ensure to designs a utility Frame work for new system
requirements. Ensure to conduct a successful pilot run and
Quality Assessment of systems before taking delivery for
deployment in the bank.
Ensure to conduct assessment of compatibility parameters
of new systems with existing system both at capacity and
resource level.
Keep an eye on system risk , Use of IDS , system sharing by
employees, authorization rights and keep on suggesting
changes in policies .

I am also stake holder in all Credit Risk functions ( All
products) of the bank to appraise them all fraud risk areas
and supporting them for designing and execution of risk free
underwriting guidelines.

management ( Zonal Head , National head and CRO) on key
areas . I am responsible for appraising management about
key actionable during each and every review.
I am also responsible to conduct a regular (external)
interaction with law enforcement and banking Ombudsman
on fraud Risk related matter.
