Cover letter to Quick CV
1. A cover letter of
Nirav Umaretiya
Here is my cover letter to my Quick CV of my academic and co-curricular activities.
o During my college life I have been…
Founding Member and Head Admin of College Commerce Society
President of College NSS
Founding Member and Editor of Departmental News Letter
Because of these activities I have developed a great professional approach towards my work life. As
Head Admin of Commerce Society and president of NSS I used to indulge in organizing various seminars,
activities and celebrations. I used to manage the funds provided to us from authorities or the seed
funding of students, which is a crucial task in itself.
As the Editor of the News Letter, I was privileged to work directly under senior faculties of the
Commerce Department. This post was indeed the most challenging one. It helped me experience the
difference between guidance and supervision. The faculties were there to supervise and that transfers
the liability of innovation mostly on the post holder. They enhanced my self-developed standards of
perfection and gave new heights to my skills of accuracy and I am heartily thankful to them for this.
All these posts demands Accounting of the funds, Reporting of the activities, Maintaining a high level of
co-ordination with both faculties and students, Deal with the outsiders such as Speakers, Entertainers,
Sponsors, Printers, food providers etc. as per the nature of the event or activity.
o Project X-Culture
I would like to mention another experience here that gave me International Exposure in the field of
corporate research work. I have been a proud researcher in a global project named “Project X-Culture”.
In this program they put the researcher in a cross cultural team contain 6 to 8 members from different
countries. All these students work under their respective faculty member and in co-ordination with each
other. They would find ten to twelve real world corporate problems of firms in various industries. Our
task, as the researchers, was to make a strategy to solve that problem taking global socio-economic and
geo-political environment under consideration. My team was of 8 students (3 from USA, 2 From Mexico,
1 from Kazakhstan and I, myself from India). We would manage our time zone differences and cultural-
geographical birders however the greatest challenge was to complete the weekly assignments in time
and to submit them for peer to peer grading. This experience gave me a primary exposure to
economies, governance and social state of western nations.
o Other
I have experience of managing off campus events as well. I have volunteered in National Achievers’
Conference, I have organized an event in my home town Rajkot, I have delegated in various seminars
and expos to keep myself educated.
While ending this letter, I would like to show my gratitude to the viewer of this letter for showing
interest in my profile.
Thank You!
