 Designed and implemented an “unprepared pregnancy prevention” youth development initiative to combat city
poverty trends
 Researched national teen pregnancy trends, which included interviewing alternative high school graduates (young
mothers and fathers of various ages) in order to collect data
 Developed a youth development initiative targeted at increasing self-esteem in young adults and to inform them of
educational and career opportunities available to them
 Wrote a culminating 40 page report with speaker recommendations and a program blueprint and presented it to an
audience of peers, supervisors, and leaders of partner organizations
