our story cancer facts
A child is diagnosed with cancer every
3.5 minutes.
Childhood cancer kills more children
than any other disease.
Before they turn 20, 1 in 300 boys and
1 in 333 girls will have cancer.
Jess Ekstrom founded Headbands of Hope in April 2012 after a
college internship at a wish-granting organization for children
with cancer. For every headband purchased, one is given to a child
with cancer and $1 is donated to fund childhood cancer research.
Since the launch, over 30,000 headbands have been donated and
over $30,000 to research. We carry a wide range of headband styles
that suit the active type or fashionista. Headbands come in sizes
that fit babies, kids, and adults.

Headbands of Hope aims to spread hope in all children, one headband at a time.
Your support will not only help us fight for a cure, but also restore
self-esteem in girls through headbands. We like to think of our
headbands as the ultimate symbol of self-acceptance for all girls
and women everywhere.
