Barratt Homes West London
Evolution at Edgware is yet another site completed for Barratt
West London. The development is on the border of Edgware
and leafy Stanmore and comprises a new neighbourhood of
one, two and three bedroom apartments alongside three and
four bedroom townhouses.
The motive8 gym is within Academy Court, the first of five phases set to complete over the coming
months. Each apartment has either a terrace or a balcony as well as access to a gated underground
car park and communal landscaped gardens.
The gym is located within a fantastic ground floor space, featuring floor to ceiling windows which flood
the gym with an abundance of natural light. The large floor space also allowed for a fantastic selection
of equipment, covering cardiovascular, resistance, free weight and stretching areas.
The client opted for Life Fitness equipment, in line with many of their previous developments. The cardio
section included two treadmills, an upright bike and a recumbent bike. These were complemented by
an Octane Fitness Elliptical cross trainer and a Concept2 rower.
Another are of the gym features six pieces of Optima series resistance equipment supported by a Dual
Adjustable Pulley which can perform over 220 different exercises.
Adjacent to this is a stretching area with Swiss balls allowing for core exercises. Finally a separate free
weight area offers a full set of 2-20kg dumbbells and a multi-adjustable bench.
Motive8 also sourced the two wall-mounted TV’s and
the specialist gym flooring.
